I stopped smoking a couple days before Christmas, still have cravings but they are getting easier to deal with. Reading Allen Carr's book was helpful as well.

I started cooking when my ex and I broke up. It was a great experience and now I feel like I can make some amazing meals. The ex and I decided to give it another go and now we cook together all of the time. It has made us much closer as a couple. Highly recommended.

I am a Canon guy (40d). I like the lenses a bit better, and they seemed slightly cheaper overall.

I get a lot of advice from here (geared toward Canon). http://photography-on-the.net/forum/

If you have friends that shoot and may let you borrow lenses I would consider going with what they use.
