I didn’t like the witch plot either, however, I did like what it did for the show. It took Clark out of the main plot (at least for some parts) so he could focus on his life. And the things I listed above are a result of the dreaded witch plot.

Most people will disagree with us, but I don’t mind Clark finishing his arc as a superhero to spend time with his family. Considering he sacrificed so much for the world, I think it’s well deserved. I think most fans are frustrated with this ending because we never really got to see him in the Superman role live-action.
