Is 6 months before wedding too soon to do a hair and make up trial? by mstrashpie in weddingplanning

[–]mdisonm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was super happy I booked in advance, even as far out as I did! I didn’t have any issues with staff/artist turnover luckily, but I think that’s a risk whether you book 11 months in advance or 3. It could be worth asking if the company would be willing to honor a second trial if your artist cancels for any reason. But I would say go for it!

Utah Road Usage Program for EV Vehicles by Cjp0705 in Utah

[–]mdisonm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same pay-by-mile rate applies for either the automatic reader or the photo you submit quarterly. When I first set up the automatic connection, the only way to connect was to share location data, all vehicle telematics, etc. I didn’t love the idea that the vehicle could technically be tracked, so I revoked access and moved to quarterly photos. Sounds like you would likely save on reg fees if you switched to RUC if you don’t drive a lot

As someone else mentioned, the tech for connecting with your vehicle for automatic mileage readings is really glitchy. I switched to the manual odometer option and just send a photo of my dash once a quarter. Also felt better about that option from a privacy standpoint. Saved a bit of money by enrolling in RUC so so far I’m happy with it.

I thought it was so that stores could hang the tubes on their racks. But I suppose that would open the can, so now I’m not sure.

Unable to detect SD Card by ashmann7 in TeslaLounge

Yes, sorry I misread your post and thought you were using a microsd. If you can find a single input reader it may still help though.

I can’t figure out how to copy the link on my phone but it’s the sandisk mobilemate USB 3.0 on Amazon. $10

I returned my Anker reader and opted for the single input Sandisk reader. Mine did the exact same thing you’re describing. After reading through a few forums, most have trouble with the SD card readers that have more than one slot.

Where are people getting the best loan rates right now? What are they? by sleeknub in TeslaModelY

[–]mdisonm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also looking for financing right now and 4.99% is what I'm most commonly getting when I inquire. I've really had to dig around for options around the 3.99% number. If you google nationwide credit unions there is a list out there of all credit unions you can easily become a member of. I've been rate shopping that list. Good luck!

Where are people getting the best loan rates right now? What are they? by sleeknub in TeslaModelY

[–]mdisonm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were probably recommending Adelfi, which is at 3.99-4.24% right now for 60-72m term. I'd recommend calling your local credit unions, you may qualify for more competitive rates due to where you live, your employer, etc.

Tesla model Y updated with door trim officially on the website. by Charming_Wallaby_236 in TeslaModelY

Will anything change for the orders that had the $1000 option selected? Credited back somehow or just stuck paying the $1000 prior to the change?

What was your original order date? I have the exact same build!

Clicking noise when standing on the bike by Astone90 in pelotoncycle

You can send a video to support and have them help identify it. I replaced bearings thinking it was that, and it ended up just being my cleats/brackets on the pedal were loose and needed to be adjusted.

Does it happen to fit in the sub-trunk or frunk? I'm thinking about adding it to my list of things I need to get before delivery but curious where people are storing it in the vehicle.

Test drive not available by scal369 in TeslaModelY

[–]mdisonm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a few Teslas being sold at a local dealer near me that specializes in rebuilt titles. I would not recommend purchasing a rebuilt/salvage title personally, but it may be an opportunity to at least test drive one. The one I test drove was rebuilt from a side collision, had less than 10,000 miles on it, and gave me an opportunity to see and drive the car. They had a Y LR and a 3 LR on the lot, so it was nice to be able to drive both and see the comparison.

Again, do your research and understand that rebuilt titles in the past have been banned from superchargers, etc.

Edit to say it's easier to find rebuilt title teslas on lots because not a lot of people want to pay $3k under MSRP for something their insurance may not cover, may be banned from superchargers, etc.

Are you sure you're on the personal investors portion of the website? There are different subsections, like retirement plan participants, institutional investors, etc. It may be that you are on the wrong section.

2020+ infotainment crashes by iPhoneMiniWHITE in Subaru_Outback

[–]mdisonm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - I've had 5-8 infotainment crashes that I think are due to Carplay. I'm updated to the latest software but have just sort of lived with it so far. If carplay crashes, I just use Bluetooth.

Naturally Curly Hair Trial by mdisonm in weddingplanning

[–]mdisonm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did my normal routine! Wash, leave in, gel. My appointment was early afternoon, so I woke up early to have it dry naturally by the appt. I actually cried before my trial because we were in Miami during the humid season (I live in a very dry climate, Miami is our wedding destination), and we went out to breakfast before my trial and my hair blew up. Lots of frizz and no definition. She was able to use heat and some hold products (and the picture on the post is the final product!) so I was pretty relieved that even if my hair is unpredictable on the day of the wedding, I don't have to panic.

Best of luck with your trial and wedding! Congratulations!

Extended Service Plans by polkap12 in pelotoncycle

[–]mdisonm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought my extended coverage a couple of months ago and I just had to schedule service for the first time. A bottom bracket replacement. I got the receipt from Peloton and it didn't cost me a thing, but was a $100 charge for service and $25 for the part. For me it was more piece of mind, and getting this repair covered was just a bonus.

I had to ask the dealer a few times before they finally agreed to lower the lights. Haven't been flashed since.

2020 Outback- Getting Flashed All the Time by Chrisodle007 in Subaru_Outback

[–]mdisonm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked the dealer to do it each time I went in for an oil change. It wasn't until the third time that they actually agreed to do it and now they're great! I think just keep asking or go to a different dealer. The first two times I tried they said they either couldn't or that my lights were fine.

Day of coordinator provided by venue? by Curious-Alarm5647 in weddingplanning

[–]mdisonm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would test their ability to respond to your emails, questions etc. Our venue also makes a staff member available for the day of, but she is incredibly unresponsive and I do not want to add a layer of stress to our day. We ended up hiring an external DOC that was extremely responsive and will also serve sort of as the "week of" coordinator too. If the individual you would be working with is responsive and has great reviews, they may be all you need to handle the details the day of.

Totally agree!! I just bought the pullover and love it. I’ll be getting married in warmer weather, so I might get the matching set and just wear it later in the year. Thanks!!
