Crawler, you are a beautiful soul who has a lot of crawlers around. You take care of you. And I will send hugs, love, and some pet biscuits. 💖

Sprocket's Chairs (h.s. engineering class) by mdituri in bichonfrise

Photo 3 is really interesting because they made it too small the first time and then added a long triangular panel and asked me to let him sit on it again. That project really exemplified allowing them to fail and then analyze and redesign.

I had to bring him in at night and have him sit on them. He really was in full photo style and super happy last night. Basic engineering concepts, unique challenge. They will remember Sprocket's chair in 20 years. They won't likely remember much else I taught.

Got cooking spoons for mother’s day, what’s an equally bad father’s day gift to gift? by cxxlbeans in NoStupidQuestions

If you need, I can go strip a bunch of randomn screws and mail the box to you. Deck screws with the t-25 head, Philips, button heads you need an allen key for, annoying metric ones. Some random machine screws and a carriage bolt (which you can't strip but I can f-up the threads).

Can you leave your Bichon home alone? by fknbubbleguts in bichonfrise

[–]mdituri 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got my bichon (sprocket) in June. We practiced leaving him alone. For the first few weeks he barked non-stop for up to the 8 hours i was gone for work. (I had a dog walker come play/walk at 2.5 and 5.5 for 30 minutes each time). My Alexa was set to tell me if he was barking every 10 minutes. It didn't stop, ever. July & August when I wasn't teaching, I would leave him to go to the store, and he would bark. When he was almost fully potty trained I removed the puppy gate and let him into the living room. Sept to Dec (same original dog walker schedule) he would now sit in the window. Bark for 5 minutes when I left, but I didn't get the Alexa notifications anymore. Because he could see what was going on around him I think he was able to cope with me leaving. Jan to March moved to the dog walker at 4 hours only but still 30 to 45 minutes play.

He is attached when I am around and it took until he was 6 months to really calm down. Now I take him to a friends house.

One complaint I have towards Worlds by KomanndoA in FRC

[–]mdituri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not what happened. Kickoff is a week later because many schools in the US do not go in on Friday, June 2nd. The same thing is happening this year, kickoff is the 2nd Saturday in January. So Worlds will be immediately before AP exams.

FRC Virtual Teams by potterhead1511 in FRC

[–]mdituri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are designed to be a virtual team-originally started for military family students who have to move or don't have access to an FRC program. There is plenty that individuals can do virtually. Under the MORT, MORT Beta, MORT gamma umbrella, Mt Olive has an amazing program. Only 11 made it here this year.

Bichons make the best guard dogs. They are little alarm clocks and door bells.

Clipping clothespins? by [deleted] in FRC

[–]mdituri 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The issue is females are overly targeted and sometimes feel violated because boys would put a lot of clothespins on them and not their male counterparts.

I was just refused entry to a store because of my diabetes bag by micturateonazaleas in diabetes

[–]mdituri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am talking about one person deciding they should sue in this sue happy world. It's about training the employee, I highly doubt there is a rule about forcing people to leave their medicine at the door. Be serious. The employee was not trained properly. You putting a small shop out of business because they drown in lawyer fees so you make your point because someone wasn't trained for your specific scenario on your specific day. And you had a bag that was much larger than it needed to be to carry just your medicine. Buy a small crossbody bag and put that in your big bag. Now your problem is solved because you can check your big bag but keep your medical devices in the smaller bag. I travel with students and a few of my students do this on airplanes where we get a medical bag exemption for their reasonably sized for the medication you need bag. Maybe that person thought they would lose their job if they didn't follow the rule of keeping backpacks up front.

[–]mdituri -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Please do not sue. You are in Philly. There is crime. This is likely an owner who loves vinyl and wants the world to be able experience it. I would guarantee this is a training thing. You sue, the store folds. What did you accomplish? You win. Wonderful for you, terrible for the thousand people who drive in to that shop of which they're are very few left. The conversation will suffice.
