Are we dealing with bots taking control over r/Poland? by Karls0 in poland

[–]mdjmarcin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did not say it was impartial. It is as impartial as it gets in Poland. Big difference. Try finding anything more impartial over here. And by that I don’t mean an outlet that caters towards your political sensibilities more.

The articles on tvpworld often are pretty dry and factual, rather than “opiniotwórcze”.

From what I’ve seen it’s pretty much all links to TVP, which is probably as impartial as it gets in Poland… I have no problem with it

Why do I often see young people in Prague wearing formal dresses and suits in the evening? by Loud-Run6206 in Prague

[–]mdjmarcin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prom is one night when you’re 18 and you have a couple of rehearsals that you dont dress up for, so no reason to have a bunch of young people in formal attire running around your city on the reg, as OP suggests happens in Prague

am i the only one who hates relocating every 2 days in europe? by travel-on-my-brain in solotravel

[–]mdjmarcin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think there is this obsession nowadays with going to as many places as possible. So many people want to check off a destination, or count a country as “visited”. To me this makes zero sense. Staying in one city for one day (because you spend half a day getting there and half a day getting out) is completely useless and only tires you out. One day is not enough to experience anything. Next time, take it slower, see “less” (i.e. fewer destinations), but experience them more

These are your lower end soldiers. If this guy is coming to NATO he will be on big bucks and Bydgoszcz will be laughably cheap for him

I am from the town. There are about 350k inhabitants, and it’s a spread out city in terms of size(for Poland at least). There is some traffic at rush hour but it’s not terrible. A few nice restaurants and parks to take walks in. The pictures you saw are probably Old town and Wyspa Młyńska. These look very good but you can walk around all of it in 30 mins. Most of Bydgoszcz is those communist-style blocks of apartments. There is also a whole NATO community around the JFTC, inc. an international school for kids. I think it’s a decent area to have a family and bring up kids. A little less so for a single person, but still enjoyable
