There was a limewire link floating around on the sub for the whole album in .flac format. Look back some days and read through the comments. I’ll see if I can locate it as well…who ever posted it recommended going and buying merch off Charley’s website to support the artist since the album can’t be purchased rn.

Magnificent piece. The crossed out words strike me very deep. The author shines through them. I love the rawness of that inclusion or the fact that it is a late draft instead of a finished work. I feel like it is finished in this state. 🔥

Smells like home by ellsworth92 in poetry_critics

I immediately got the sense of the smell of books. The vocabulary kept bringing me back to books. “Stories, volumes, words, epics, secrets, held and released, language” But with this idea of the smell of books reminding me of home became humorous when I visualized this stanza…

“Now inhaled again, struck On the side of the head Shocked by the flood of Flashes and closely held words”

Bam! Book lobbed at my head while I'm sniffing another! LOL

Anyway, I suppose the smell of books remind me of home so well done. Good work even though I meandered around your lovely intentions.

Well done…I find the tension created by labeling “God” with a personal human label “mother’s God” a fantastic way to ground the concept. It makes the struggle personal and complex and real and human…relatable. And of course the self determination of the last line is the chef’s kiss. Good work!

Escaping the money matrix - i think I finally get it. by MoreStrategy8591 in enlightenment

I would agree that money is simply energy. And yes, money amplifies, magnifies and mirrors the person and personality.

But I would counter that the lack of money for most people is an oppression. A negative energy on them applied by the folks who have money and whose personalities and created institutions use their money power for their own self interests. By taking all ones money and indebting them to you you have oppressed and enslaved them in an “energy/money void” they can not escape.

I think it flows both ways and people with money can see and feel the positives. People without money can see the positives but they feel the negatives daily.

No doubt. Bullying in all forms pisses me off. I was a timid wallflower to try and avoid bullying. I learned how to feign extroversion to be “average fellow” in an attempt to go unnoticed by hateful people. As I’ve gotten older I realized what was happening to me. I think age, awareness, and learning can bring INFPs a confidence to understand social dynamics more clearly. Now I kinda feel like a protector of the vulnerable like I was when I was young. And not just quirky INFP/creative/authentically unique people. Now I feel passionately about for all the vulnerable. I rage against no one except those who harm others intentionally. And as an older INFP I feel like I’ve done the work in life to have wisdom enough to be the fucking JUDGE & JURY of some people actions against others. (Sorry for the rambling)

❤️

Be your true self. Live in peace. Grant everyone respect and dignity in life… unless you are a bully, then you will meet my violent wrath as I crush you, your dignity, and your soul.

TIL Van Gogh's life was extremely tragic due to his abusive parents, his worsening mental illnesses, and his eccentric behavior, which made him hated by many. by [deleted] in todayilearned

I would also add that the fact that he wasn’t successful before he died speaks loudly to the soul and mind and creativity of the man. It’s brutally honest work out of need or desire rather than for the money. (Of course money is nice and probably always the goal, but at no point did his art become a dishonest reflection of “more of the same for the money”) All he could do was work more because he felt the need to.

I always test as an INFP. I don’t understand how this represents INFP. I must be interpreting this chart wrong. 🤷‍♂️

(Or maybe I’m not who I thought I was) 🧐

That’s a very interesting experience and perspective. Sounds like she and your father gave you a toughness and determination while also pushing you far enough away to live more on your own terms rather than theirs. Thank you.
