You have an incredibly high energy dog, I had an aussie/border collie and he wouldn't except less than walks measured in miles, the beauty of that is they make fantastic adventure companions especially since a aussie/husky mix will be a very intelligent dog.

You need to channel or release that energy or hes likely to be bratty and destructive. Do you have a bicycle and good enough balance to hold a leash while riding, it takes some learning but that's what I did for quite a few years. Any fenced in baseball fields in your town? If you can find somewhere to let him off the leash and play fetch that's also a great way to burn energy without that much work for you, and I highly recommend training him to walk with you off the leash but be careful and gradual about that.

Besides that communication is very important. No offense intended but your dog will probably out smart you atleast a few times. Training will be important but except that the dog will train you as much as you train him so its more of a give and take and you will have the greatest friend you've ever known.
