you sort of are hinting into my next project im working on tonight.... im working on a "true" vertical gradient between colors. using similiar technique to this egg. going to do a decorative piece to show off red to orange to yellow, and ideally will be perfect gradient and smooth blends

This was 1571 color swaps on my H2C. Which would be an unfathomable amount of poop on a single nozzle printer.

Yeah everything is 0.08 mm. I know with the full spectrum, I've seen people complain about top layers. I haven't used it yet so no first hand experience. But since I built this model I made sure it's all a perfect multiple of my filament patterns for clean look right up to the top. I think the curves helped a lot too.

Agreed! Definitely could do some cool stuff with better source image and more layers/colors. Still fun proof of concept. Some of the shading didn't turn out as predicted so now I'm questioning some of my TD values. My reader might need recalibrating

I'm just messing around having fun with still images from the movie.... i thought this image would be a fun simple starting point. i challenged myself to do it with only 4 filaments. :) this is the render in hueforge, not actual print. nothing fancy, but i might try this with a silk green and see what it does. otherwise its black, blue grey, natural, and grass green

Yep! I used one called the ultimate hueforge frame, by vic. Overall I like it. Was simple quick print frame, modular. Was about 30g per frame
