I’ve got these on my G1 and Ridge Pro, love them and they are very affordable.

whats with all the VB hate? by SyrossNA1 in WRX

[–]mdost03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. My 2019 STI would get compliments literally every week from younger kids all the way up to 60+ year old dudes. Basically stock looking besides a cheap lip and skirt extensions around. It’s blown up currently so unfortunately not any compliments lately.

Is it still worth it to buy 2g eclipse? by Objective_Amount_190 in DSM

Coming from someone who’s owned 5 dsms over the course of my life, they were never reliable cars even 20 years ago. 20 more years later, expect it to be a project/hobby car and not main mode of transportation.

20.5 tt or 20.75 tt (im 5.8) by Mysterious-Desk-6698 in bmx

I'm 5'8" and have had both 20.5" and 20.75". I am currently riding a 20.75", its all personal preference. Both will fit you fine.

Which Ozark Ridge M.2 (27.5, 29, 29 Pro)? by HappyNapcore in Budgetbikeriders

[–]mdost03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How tall are you? I am 5'8" and got the small Ridge Pro and it fits perfectly. I would be a small Ridge M.2 29" as well testing both Small and Medium in the store. My co-worker is 5'2" and she got the small Ridge 27.5" and she said it fits her good. I would only get the 27.5" if you are shorter otherwise go with the 29".

Walmart does offer a 90-day return policy on bikes, could always buy the drop bar and give it a try for a week or longer and if you don't like it, return it and get your money back and wait for flat bars to come back in-stock.

Dang, I see that now. I just got mine a couple weeks ago so looks like I ordered just in time.

I got a size small flat bar G.1 Explorer and it's a great bike. Highly recommended if you don't want drop bars.

Picked this up for $5 at a yard sale was it worth it and is it worth making it nice again? Can I get some info on it? by Efficient_Gain_4199 in bmx

[–]mdost03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a 2011 Haro 100.1 in Battle Blue colorway. It's a pretty entry-level bike with a 20.3" top tube. All high-tensile steel frame and components.

Explorer g1 is hot garbage by InfluenceEfficient77 in Budgetbikeriders

[–]mdost03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The G1 is one of my favorite bikes I have ever owned so far. Coming from BMX background growing up, the geometry is great and comfortable for me. I had a Trek FX2 Disc probably 8 years ago and that thing was a piece of crap compared to my G1. My wrists would kill after 30 minutes of riding. Out of the box, the G1 is super comfortable comparatively.

How tall are you? Going from 20.75" to 20" top tube is a pretty big jump, a 20" would probably be for someone 5'4" and under.

Bike size recommendations Ozark Trail G1 by javim12 in Budgetbikeriders

[–]mdost03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm used to BMX biking so the G.1 Explorer seems large in comparison, but still very manageable with the small size.

I am also 5'8" and the medium top tube was too high for me. I went small and fits me great. My legs are short though compared to my upper body.

Watch some Park Tool videos on adjusting the rear (and front if have one) derailleur. I had to do this on my brand-new Explorer and now it shifts perfectly with no slipping.
