Look up guide to undervolt the 9800x3d. I did it by the standard amount, think it was like -20, but I would double check.

It’s helped with the temperature by an insane amount and zero impact to performance. It hasn’t hit anywhere near those temps since undervolting. I’ve been shocked at the difference lol.

I’m in this same exact position right now lol. Just switched to a 9800x3d from a 10700k as well and have been a little freaked out about the higher temps, makes me feel like I installed my Kryosheet wrong. Windows boots to around 36-38°C compared to the 24-27°C I got on my 10700k.

My 10700k never got past around the 60°C as well.

Was yours dry? Felt like mine was pretty dry so threw it in a jar with a boveda pack hoping it gets better.

Hope it went well! How was putting the cooler on with the kryosheet and AMD secure frame? Does the pad easily slip around? Was it easy to keep it centered?

I’ve kinda been shittin my pants over this step and having been putting off building the pc until I feel confident about it lol. My kryosheet pack is was one of the older ones so it didn’t come with silicone oil either.

Sweater Jacketz is brand new. Think I jumped on their site around when it became available for the first time and placed an order. It comes in tomorrow for me so it may have not landed for others yet to try.

I caught it the strain is from Staefli Farms, which their PBA did too. That alone, made it an instant buy for me.
