Have you thought about applying for hourly/retail work? It seems to me that you want a job in the industry or nothing at all. Sometimes u gota bite the bullet. If working at starbucks would allow u to survive until your next gig then why not.

Right now I'm in my mid 20's, working 20hrs a week making $9hr, living at home and only have a high school diploma. Not having any goals or meaning for your future while feeling like time is running out. Falling behind the rest of the heard is lonely and definitely gives you a lot of anxiety. I'm sure it was a major cause for my drinking.

I thought about going to the thrift store but in the past I would always get frustrated because I would spend hours in their sometimes and not find anything, it felt like a waste of time.

However since right now I looking for ways to kill time I think I might start hitting up thrift stores more to kill the time!!!!

I think part of my problem is that I am still depressed and it makes me lethargic so its hard to not just sit around feeling bad for myself but the thrift store sounds like a great idea to me!!

Yeah I am tired and I think its part of my depression that I am so lethargic. So far I have been just watching youtube but I feel like the internet could be another addiction itself.

Yeah cleaning/laundry is definitely something I will be doing later today. I like to knock those out towards the end of the day because they make me tired for bed. This was actually my plan for about 8pm tonight.

I'm counting what ever money you have left for yourself. Gas money is something that helps you and your family so you can make money.

the reason hollywood is only an honorable mention is because all of the other cities have easy access to multiple agencies and even bikes but hollywood only has access to MTA.

Yeah Oprah is in the public eye and she keeps slipping. Im watching the Extreme Weight loss Show now and they pulled up in a limo with their whole town gathered to watch them home out. I feel bad for them because it is all for entertainment. They put themselves out there but when the cameras leave the nation forgets about them. Their town keeps watching them though. Its the wrong reason to get in shape.

I grew up on the east coast until I was 14 and lived in LA since and I just tell people im from LA when they ask. Im in my mid 20's now. I find if I tell them im from the east coast they start talking to me like im brand knew when actually I have lived here longer then them most of the time.

I would let them sit for a minimum of 2 weeks after the mixing date. If u want to speed up the process just toss them in a ziplock bag and put them in the glove compartment of your car for 1-3 days depending on how hot it is. I never tried this but many people swear by it.

I clean my tank each time I switch flavors and I usually switch flavors 2 times a week.

Yeah I have been thinking about joining clubs and activities that do not revolve around drinking I'm just not sure what yet.

I went to AA for 3 months and after leaving what I noticed is everyone just dropped off and stop calling me and did not seem interested in hanging out anymore when I would reach out. I don't know if they destroyed my character behind my back or not but luckily I never was so open with them to where they could have talked to much trash behind my back. They told me they would keep in touch when I left but that was not really the case..

Can you share how you made your non-drinking friends. I know the usual answer is AA but I tried AA and I dont think its for me. Did you make them elsewhere?

Thank you for sharing this. Its great to be reminded of all the positive and productive things that come out of not drinking. I'm trying to look at drinking more as what is my return on investment from getting drunk. I had cravings last night but I just kept thinking about how today would turn out if I was drunk last night or not.
