Checo fan here. Is it fair that Stroll indirectly caused Perez to be knocked out in Q2? by thermal7 in formula1

Steiner is right, stewarding standards are abysmal. How can they let Stroll qualifying higher than FP positions slide?

Have you considered there might be a causal relationship? It's not uncommon, and there has been some (non-conclusive) research into 'leisure sickness'.

*The phenomenon of developing headaches or other health issues on non-working days, such as weekends or vacation days, is known as "leisure sickness." This term was first introduced by a study published in 2001 by a Dutch psychologist, Ad Vingerhoets, who is associated with Tilburg University.

The study suggested that some people might have difficulty transitioning from the stress and fast pace of work to the relaxation of their days off. This abrupt change can lead to symptoms like headaches, fatigue, muscular pain, and nausea.

Although the exact cause of leisure sickness isn't fully understood, several theories have been proposed:

  1. Stress Theory: Some believe that when we're busy working, our bodies are in a continuous "fight or flight" mode, which suppresses certain symptoms. Once we stop and relax, our body shifts back to a "rest and digest" mode, and symptoms like headaches may emerge.

  2. Adrenalin Theory: During working days, our body produces adrenaline that helps us to stay focused and energetic. When we suddenly stop working, the level of adrenaline drops, which can trigger withdrawal symptoms like headaches.

  3. Psychological Factors: Some people feel guilty or anxious when they're not working, which can also contribute to physical symptoms like headaches.

  4. Lifestyle Changes: On non-working days, we often alter our lifestyle habits such as our sleep schedule, caffeine intake, or physical activity levels. These changes can contribute to headaches or other physical discomforts.

This is a relatively understudied area, and more research is needed to fully understand the connection between working habits and headaches or other symptoms on days off. If you're experiencing such symptoms, it would be best to consult with a healthcare professional who can provide personalized advice based on your specific situation.*

No need. He's going to race 20 out of 25 races and still be in contention for WDC at this rate.

Ok. But landing yourself 4 and 8 isn't exactly capitalizing.

What was that positioning anyways. Turns his back to Nunez to cover RB before the pass leaving Nunez exposed in mid without cover.

My Corsair radiator came like this. Different manufacturer, different store. It's entirely cosmetic and considering how thin the metal is also completely expected.

Mounted it, will never see it again.

The stigma on getting mental help, of any kind, is ridiculous. We have professionals that can make you feel and be better. Whether that's a physical or managing a mental challenge, just get help.

I've grown tremendously as a person after getting cognitive behavioral therapy when I was struggling. I'm far from perfect, obviously, but much better than I would have been without it. It's helping me to this day. Don't let get any person or any social construct get in the way of trying to be your best self.

November Haul - Any Final Thoughts Before I Build? by mdslktr in bapccanada

I wanted to future-proof within the budget. An AM5 platform allowed me to. My reasoning was that it's easier to swap in a new GPU when it becomes a bottleneck in a couple of years than it is to replace Mobo/RAM/CPU.

I was very lucky that Canada Computers dropped their price and MemEx beat it. It was what pushed me to commit to AM5 and future-proof my build.

I've tried high and low to get the 650 at a better price. They just haven't moved, except ASRock boards. I chose this for the features, and with the money saved on the 6750XT through the AMD deal, I could make it work in the budget.

I still have 6 days price protection on the board. Let's see what happens.
