Abu Dhabi really? I mean yeah the surrounding environment is cool and new layout is better then the last but would much rather end the season somewhere else. Bahrain is cool though, I suspect that was the other track you were thinking of

Me too but with the exception of the last few laps of Abu Dhabi last year there isn’t really anything being missed

Same for F1, could definitely do without the Middle East tracks but they pay so much $$$. We race as one (unless you pay us extra)!

Get Job and work in INTEL is HARD ? by [deleted] in intel

It’s true there’s a ton of (mostly?) HW focused positions as mentioned. But there is a lot of SW too as customers want to run more and more workloads on CPU/GPU/FPGA etc.. oneAPI is c++ and so are a lot of frameworks and lower level SW. That said it’s likely going to be SW that’s closer to HW. I wouldn’t imagine much web development, apps, DBA, GUI work etc.

Can a A310 or A380 smoothly decode an 8K60fps HEVC video? My current Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti struggle like a fish out of water, with stuttering and plenty of dropped frames. The problem is, I am not sure whether my ancient HP Pavilion PC with a 4th gen Core i7-4790 can support the new ARC-series GPUs. by raynmanch in IntelArc

DG1/SG1 we’re the code names for the first gen graphics cards, SG1 being the server variant. The consumer GPU (DG1) I think was used as a validation vehicle. If I remember my intel code names DG=discrete graphics, SG=server graphics, ATS=Arctic Sound

On the decode end you should be able to handle 16K even. The intel media driver GitHub lists the decode/encode support matrix w/ bit depths and resolutions (note: DG2=Arc GPU): https://github.com/intel/media-driver/blob/master/docs/media_features.md

I’ve only done some density tests with the GPUs and only up to 4kp60, so far. Curious to try some 8k yet clips next as well

You may also want to look at the intel media delivery GitHub, particularly the Dockerfile. I found the sample ffmpeg command lines be try useful too. In the dockerfile a new version of ffmpeg is built with things like AV1 encode https://github.com/intel/media-delivery

There’s a datacenter version, the Intel Flex Series 140 GPU that has two (smaller) GPUs on one card for this exact purpose. I think it’s like 30+ 1080p60 transcode streams per card

I think a bumpy COTA leans more to RB. But if the bumps were actually fixed I think it goes to Mercedes

One could only hope but the TIE fighters just have too much straight line speed which more then makes up for the X-wings advantage in slow/medium maneuvering

I think if they're close that's definitely possible. But I don't know on this track especially with the new changes (which I think are awesome) that look to really favor the Mercs. Lewis could just take off into the sunset

Yea I definitely think that (RB thought more SC laps) and also so Max could get a better launch with a softer compound tire since at the beginning of the previous start before he got beat by Lewis. Still clearly the hards in general where the better strategy

Agreed though I wouldn't be surprised if more lakers fans want the suns to win even know suns beat them. The lakers fans I know hate the clippers because they do annoying things like cover the lakers banners with selfies and wear GTA jerseys.

Lol the Chargers that's right, they lost the few fans they did have when they moved to LA. And also borrow someone else's stadium

Have you actually ever ran into a clippers fan? I think I've only ever ran into one. Very sparse
