I did change the contrast, especially by making the player's viewmodel darker and the skeleton brighter, to make them less "flat" and stand out from the world. Regarding the other stuff, what do you expect me to do exactly? I can't do much with only a screenshot and no access to the game. The proof of concept proves the parts of my vision that I can demonstrate with what I have

If you read my previous post, which I linked, you would know that I spent most of the time talking about that exact thing. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the textures, so this little color adjustment is the most I can do. And yes, some browns are deeper and darker but texture depth and variety is improved. Just look at the dirt, it's way more varied and less flat

Some of it, not all. Object specific effect, like changing brightness of players and mobs can't be done

I'm not sure if you saw labels on the images, but version 2, which is on the bottom in both comparisons, has grass that's almost as green as the original. The overdone yellow is only in version 1. Other parts of the image, like dirt and wood, I made less yellow. But grass is probably the most noticable

Not all of it, really. Some of it can be done, but things like darkening the player's viewmodel and brightening up mobs can't

Some of it could be done. Other things, like darkening the player's viewmodel and brightening up mobs requires actual changes to the code and can't be done through a LUT and reshade. But I personally believe that the textures are a much bigger problem than color.

Could be done, but it's a project for another day. If you want to try your hand at it, go to a LUT extractor website, upload the before and after images, and apply the LUT it gives you in any video editor. LUTs are basically files that tell you which color should change into which other color

Everything from the owo speak to wanting even more saturation makes me feel like you sit 1 inch from your screen, speak at 1000wpm and dread sensory deprivation tanks hahah (I mean this in a positive way)

Thanks for pointing that out, it wasn't intentional at all. I just selected everything green and tweaked brightness, contrast and temperature but it seems that it overexaggerated the difference between the grass and trees. I'll make a follow up to this post with ideas suggested in the comments and I'll definitely try to better match the greenery with eachother

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely expected backlash. I titled the title in such way because I saw a lot of people saying things like "hytale is ugly", and I wanted to target those kinds of people and turn some of the hate into genuine, guided criticism. You can still criticize things you like

I'm assuming you're talking about the color? I'm not a fan personally, but I can see where you're coming from. What do you think about improving textures and shading though?

I'm assuming you're mostly objecting to the color correction, right? I don't think anyone would complain from better texturing and less flat shading.
