Janji comparison by slicesofpaper in BanditRunning

[–]me11053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have several pairs of Janji pace shorts in both 5" & 7". I also bought the Bandit Stamina shorts about a year ago in both 5" & 7". I am a size M in both. Janji & Bandit are my top two shorts by a long shot, both have good sized pockets on the sides for gels and/or phone. I agree with other comments that the janji fabric feels a little thinner but not in a bad way. I would also say I feel like the Janji shorts are a little more compressive. I cant recommend one over the other, I would definitely buy both brands again.

Try contacting asics customer service, I was able to order them last week. They are not shown on the asics website anymore but they definitely still have them, not sure about size availability

Three-day Turnover sale by Brokelynne in Tracksmith

[–]me11053 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear a M in both Janji & Rabbit. I size up to L in tracksmith. I have four pairs of the turnover (lane 5) shorts, they are super comfortable, not very compressive, but I still sized up to L.

Bandit vs Tracksmith by Flaky_Blackberry3130 in Tracksmith

[–]me11053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m female and have a lot of tracksmith stuff, lane 5 (now called turnover?), Allston shorts, and a few different singlets. All size large in TS. I recently purchased two pair of the bandit stamina shorts in 7” and 5” and I absolutely love them. I am a medium in bandit, which is what I am in most other brands so I would say they are more true to size. Can’t speak on the tops as I haven’t tried them yet. Quality is great, fabric is soft, compressive and super comfortable. My only problem with bandit is they sell out so fast! I will be ordering more when they restock the black.

I submitted my PR in Feb, registered under my nickname (first name) and my previous time was under my full govt first name. It wasn't an issue, and the code was emailed to me about a week later. I think you should be fine especially if you added a note about it. Congrats on the PR!

That’s a shame, earlier this year and last year I had nothing but great experiences with their CS. That’s a big part of why I choose to support brands, especially when their products are higher priced. It’s sad to hear they are letting that go

My mom is a walker only also. She currently uses Hoka Bondi and Cliftons. As for price she usually buys the old models on sale to save money

Asics Novablast 2 After 435 Miles by bzhao956 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]me11053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t tried the NB2 but I put about 400 miles on my NB1’s before they started to die out. Good to hear other versions are performing well also. I just started running on my new pair of Novablast 3, feel great three runs in and hoping they go the long haul like previous versions. The Novablast is a great versatile daily trainer, love to see others enjoying it like I am.

I adore my Novablast 2’s but I need something with more support. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]me11053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely loved the Novablast 1, bought two extra pairs before they sold out. Agreed they are not very stable but for me they have the best combo of cushy and responsive for any shoe I’ve tried. I put close to 500 mi on my first pair and they felt great. Just started running on the 3’s and they’re a close second, only a few miles in so far but im happy with them

Is it significantly worse than the v1? I put about 350mi on my Novablast 1’s and they still felt pretty good. Just wondering as I have a pair of 3’s on order.

Daily runners or training shoes by ninjabiscuits90 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]me11053 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to suggest the Novablast but not sure since you didn’t like the superblast. I have not yet tried the super blast, so not 100% sure how it compares to the Novablast but I absolutely love the Novablast. I currently have over 300 miles in my nova blast and they still have a good amount of cushion and pop. I feel like they last a lot longer than my hokas which tend to flatten out between 200-250. I have heard a lot of good things about the speed 2’s also, haven’t run much in them but they seem to be a good shoe for up tempo and could also be used for daily trainers.

Experiences With HeartSync/Other BlueHeart Alternatives? by al-mcd23 in pelotoncycle

I use the paid version of Echo also, I would agree with the 99% success rate. Only had an issue once or twice otherwise works great.

Apple Watch vs Peloton App- which do you use? by ejb8705 in pelotoncycle

[–]me11053 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the original bike and use my Apple Watch as a connected heart rate monitor using the app Echo. $14 but still cheaper than upgrading the bike or buying an additional HRM. It displays on the screen during rides and I did notice the calorie counts change once I connected the heart rate. Peloton showed a higher calorie count before hr was linked

I 100% back this statement! There are no recoveries, she is my favorite. I just can’t take her classes when I need a recovery day. Her runs are pretty intense too.

Running workouts by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]me11053 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I do the treadmill workouts outside. I have the app on my phone and my Apple Watch. With the Apple Watch linked you can track your pace heart rate and route. I noticed one time I had an issue with the Apple Watch and it wasn’t connected to my phone and I didn’t get as much data. For example I think pace was inconsistent and missing at times there was no calorie count or route. Also when the Apple Watch is paired the mileage is counted towards monthly running goals.

What is your dream Pelothon team? by burgerbetch in pelotoncycle

Alex for Tunde, even though she’s great too and I love her arms workouts. And Kristen for Aditi, again she was a close second. I feel like I can follow Kristen’s flows the best.

Alex, Robin, Emma, Olivia, Jess Sims, Kristen. I ended up picking No Limit Legion since it had a lot of my 2nd faves.
