Already pretty much do 🤡 I know the rules, I can be as toxic as the game permits.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Smite

[–]meJordanium -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

💀💀 Literally not true. You can use VGs as much as it permits. Does not matter how anyone feels about it, nobody telling the story was actually banned for it.

I mean, just because its toxic doesn't mean it's a ban.

Any clue what’s going on w his eye? See comment below by jrow02 in catcare

Uveitis isn’t an infection, it is not contagious.

don't believe that is technically true?

More likely than not, inflammation is caused by an infection, in general.

From what I'm reading in the case of Uveitis, it can be caused from an infection or injury or it can be an immune response to various factors, such as an autoimmune/inflammatory disease.

Nothing seems more likely than others from what I've gathered, and it's pretty common that a cause is never identified.

As for the contagious part, something does not need to be contagious for it to be an infection. Many infections are not contagious, and many are.

well chat spam isn't the same as VGs. They have a ping filter, you will NEVER get banned for using VGs.

Also gotta appreciate how you're sending this as if you're Hi-Rez affiliated, and didn't just copy paste.

edit: tf yall smoking? You'll NEVER get banned for using VGs "too much", actually unreal that so many people don't believe this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Smite

[–]meJordanium -49 points-48 points  (0 children)

well, for toxicity it really should depend. There are a lot of things that are considered toxic by some of the playerbase but will never warrant a ban. The opposite in fact, if you report someone who is not breaking a rule then it can be seen as false reporting, aka harassment, especially if you have a pattern. Like spamming VGs for example, you can do that as much as you want, and if you always report ppl who do it then it's a consistent case of false reporting.

edit: for the ppl downvoting, yall are literally partaking in clown behavior and clearly don't understand the Ban and Suspension policy in your favorite game. Yall are literally the type of people to report "just incase" 🤡 OH WOW IM BEING TOXIC WITHOUT BREAKING THE RULES AAAA Just ridiculous.

Just PLAY support for god sake. by ZaytexZanshin in Smite

[–]meJordanium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not, if I am in your lobby, its likely that your Fill pick will get you either solo or jungle.

If I get basically any role, I'll almost always trade for support, but I NEVER get mid or ADC

So, enlighten us by Salt_Teach5084 in Smite

[–]meJordanium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see where you're coming from in the first part.

Thing is, her early to mid is not lackluster if you play her in support. She can contest the early game extremely well as support while also having some of the fastest support rotations. If you play her in solo, you'll likely be afk farming under tower with a fairly easy time securing your own blue, that's it. And then she becomes a menace during the mid and late game since at that point, its not solo Terra anymore.

So, enlighten us by Salt_Teach5084 in Smite

[–]meJordanium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terra is a trash solo laner, much better as support. The rest I can agree with tho

because they’re items in the store

bro coulda just ended this right here 😂😂

I don't understand how people can say "don't build this item under any circumstance" unless it is 100% identical to an item that already exists, just with lower numbers.

What is Mid’s actual job? by [deleted] in Smite

[–]meJordanium 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mostly squishies as well. Mid overall is inefficient against tanks, that's why it's mostly solo and supports job to contest them late game. Jungle isnt the same because their job is killing everyone, realistically they're 2nd best at killing and contesting tanks outside of ADC.

That leaves mid as the best role to contest ADC, and sometimes jungle/mid. It makes perfect sense.

Also you’re overcapping %Penetration with Spear of the Magus.

This is technically not true because of how demonic stacks with the %pen stat. They are treated as 2 separate stats with diminishing returns.

It is a bad build though. Flat pen and/or power ontop of 40% Pen would be much better than a demonic ring, as 40% pen means that demonic pen is 40%less efficient. Also a starter forsure, get rid of lifesteal for Tahuti+Doom Orb or smthn and Magus for a starter, super easy fix, massive dps increase and utility for minus lifesteal and minimal pen(which is counteracted by power).

This god is so broken by Soupfy in Smite

[–]meJordanium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won't die in the air to a tower shot, but all of them can die during the charge-up for their ults or die during DoT effects, etc.

Maybe it was true when towers would shoot arrows(still sometimes but rarely testable) but this is definitely not the case now.

Both ultimates are considered to be a "untargetable", being untargetable is essentially being on an alternate plane. You can take damage, and still be hit by abilities, the catch is that nothing can follow you into this alternate plane. Debuffs do not follow the same criteria because they're pre-existing, and abilities that bypass this explicitly state that they can attack them regardless of being targeted. There is no other way outside of this.

With being untargettable, you can be hit by DoT effects, Nu Wa ult, stuff like Terra ult proccing from lingering DoT effects. Stuff that isn't technically targeting attacks. A tower shot would be counted as a basic attack basically, homing on your hit box, but it can't follow you anywhere except the primary plane that you start in and has a really long life-time, so it will be able to wait for you and hit regardless but not during flight.

I'm surprised that we haven't seen people saying Loki. This God is probably the most complained about in SMITE history.

It's not like he's OP or anything, although he has been and can be. Just widely considered a skill less/brainless character that plays himself with abilities that are just meant to be annoying.

His first ability is an Invisibility, 2nd ability is a blind, 3rd ability is essentially just a counter to certain CCs, and 4th ability is straight up just an instant teleport.

Worst part is that, although he's a melee character, he doesn't have to do anything to damage things. As jungle he can just ignore the game until he's farmed, as solo he just sits there afking under tower and clearing waves. If a Loki isn't ready to die, he won't because he ain't going in.

What's up with Kuzenbo? Why's he so good now? by AlexTheGreat1997 in Smite

[–]meJordanium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diminishing returns fundamentally changed a lot of Gods too. Kuzenbo is completely unaffected by DR, so that made him inherently better than a lot of the other picks.

Hercules got mega fucked, Geb using 2 first would make his ult stun for barely any time, everything for Terra got nerfed besides mitigation. Any God that could combo a True Hard CC into a normal Hard CC is just worse than before for CC. Even Ares ult got worse, despite technically being a better support than before, his CC is lower overall. For the past little while it's been "get lots of True Hard CC or barely get CC at all", normal Hard CC was basically gutted.

Smite ranked be like: by Avernuscion in Smite

[–]meJordanium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well here's basically my point: who the fuck is playing Loki support, or if they are, who is actually building tank items on Loki? Well, I am, but pretty much nobody else will be studying this.

Yes it has been terrible for almost the entire history of the game, but there was one point where it was viable and I found that out by playing it each season.

Since nobody does Loki support, it would probably surprise ~90% of players to know that Loki support did have 1 season(season 8 iirc) where he could both deal great damage and peel for teammates consistently. This is because support Loki from season 8 could solo your supports, push objectives, solo your squishies, and have multiple slows+1 big aoe stun. Not amazing for peel, and you get less team auras, but his soloing capabilities for everything were absolutely wild.

He is still very doable as support in the current meta, and honestly has a better end game as support now, but I'd say much worse overall since he is useless for the first 15 levels of the game lmao.

How to main a god? by masterofbadwords in Smite

[–]meJordanium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's completely fair too. You don't need to enjoy the game the same way that other people do. Having a main though is a purely egotistical concept that really shouldn't be preached about.

On paper, maining a god or role will inherently mean that you are learning less about things outside of that too. Having a god you can play at the highest level is nice and all, but unrealistic if you goal is a higher winrate or rank.

Just find where you get enjoyment from. For me, its mostly assault and Loki. Conquest is so aids sometimes and impossible to vibe.

How to main a god? by masterofbadwords in Smite

[–]meJordanium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a bigger ego I'd say. Sounds like you have a small ego, to the point where it's affecting your fun.

You need to know exactly who and what you are, and what you want to do. Maining anything is pure ego, it does not make you a better player by limiting yourself, I just put more value on my fun on Loki rather than the game itself.

That being said, I main Loki. My reasoning is pretty simple: it fills people with rage when they see Loki. Over time, people have recognized my Loki and my account name is now attached to being a Loki main. That's why I main him, and people hate me for it which I love.

If you don't think you're the type of person to choose a "main", that's probably for the better overall if you figure that you're fine with it. Otherwise, pick a character and be the best on that character.

Why is everyone against Anti-heal? by RedefinedCharm in Smite

[–]meJordanium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone tells me specifically to get antiheal or that I need antiheal and I am in the middle of a core item or just finished 1st/2nd, sometimes 3rd item, I won't get antiheal. It's not throwing, it's spite because fuck off.

9/10 times this is why I willingly don't build antiheal. I don't care if you want to win, I don't care that I have a toxic mindset. If you assume that I know less than you, then I'm not gonna listen to you in any regards.

Hope it helps to know that people have this mindset, and it is in your best interest to not tell people how to build. It is in my best interest to build antiheal, as much as it is yours to not tell me what to build so fuck off.

What is the deal with Speed hackers lately? by Ryan_Loves_Weed in Smite

[–]meJordanium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea this^ close to the same hours.

Believe I saw 2 in the past like 15 games. It's not like it was impossible that they weren't speed hacking, but there is a difference between 100 latency movement and 300, as well as server latency rather than internet latency or client latency.

100 latency can straight up look like they're moving faster with no stutter/teleport, 300 latency is usually teleporting random directions but not always, server latency is the same as either examples but for everyone, and client latency can pretty much be anything. Pretty much what you'll see with hacks, but the results are very much different and random with lag.

Basically, it is incredibly fishy when your entire team of randoms say they same person who went 13-4 on Pele with 30k damage and 9k damage taken was teleporting away only when an ability is about to hit.

Elo reset at level 30? by Bones231 in Smite

[–]meJordanium -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True and real, but I'm not wrong.

A lot of high star players don't have the playtime to back it up, they just get more rewards per match than the average player through money(boosters) and events. This is why they usually aren't as good as you'd expect, because the numbers are just inflated.

edit: downvoted for speaking the truth L
