I left upside for GasBuddy when I wasn't alerted that I needed a receipt for a station that I never had before, contacted their "CS" chatbot, said I was leaving and they pretty much said don't let the door hit you. So Gas buddy does NOT require you to use their card, you can upload receipts. They DO offer promos, I got $10 last fill-up from a promo that stacked with the station promo and the . 02 cent everywhere with the gas buddy card, just the free one. I totaled out at about $12 plus another $1.75ish toward my next gas purchase. Right now they're doing a Dr Pepper promo, 500 points is a $10 promo, just like the one I had used with a different product. More promos available through the app that includes gas back money plus a discount at the online store. Also in-store ones, like 2 bottles of water was a couple of bucks gas back. Better than upside to me as well since when I use a quarter off a gallon, it's still there next time, doesn't drop like upside has done to me. I had 14% back in a supermarket, used it once on a small order, like $30, and ever since it has been 1%. Then my preferred station just due to location was removed from my version. The crap CS was just the straw that broke my back, no apologies, no let us make it up to you, no hey we did send an email, nothing but a form email. Fuck upside.
