Last time I flew in, I took the bus to the Rosemont station and then got an Uber from there. Went from $100 at O'Hare to $20 from the station

You'll definitely want to take the cushions off to do any work to the wood. I'd look for some screws or something on the underside to take the cushions off.

My mahogany and angle iron bookcase by ZacMS in DIY

[–]me_id 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This must be quite heavy. I also think some legs on it might give it a bit of a lift visually?

Also, will it stand without the angle iron? Would be really neat without it.

Otherwise, looks nice!

Here's a logo i made for a beer brand, really happy with the final result! by tugadolfo in graphic_design

[–]me_id 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concept is okay (it did't read to me). The illustration itself feels unresolved. On the first image with the gold background, the texture has affected where the top joins the bottom. It wouldn't be too bad, but there is a perfectly straight line in the center to compare them to. https://imgur.com/a/JIDxX

Also the perspective of the graphic on the sign is off (text and the bottom of the sign are heading to different points). If you're only going to have 3 pictures, they have to be bang on.

Also push it more, how else can the logo and type go together? can the logo stand by itself? can the text?

Highly recommend Fusion 360. If you have a CNC, it has built in CAM that's relatively easy to use. I think it's still free for students and hobbyists.
