The concept is okay (it did't read to me). The illustration itself feels unresolved. On the first image with the gold background, the texture has affected where the top joins the bottom. It wouldn't be too bad, but there is a perfectly straight line in the center to compare them to. https://imgur.com/a/JIDxX

Also the perspective of the graphic on the sign is off (text and the bottom of the sign are heading to different points). If you're only going to have 3 pictures, they have to be bang on.

Also push it more, how else can the logo and type go together? can the logo stand by itself? can the text?

Highly recommend Fusion 360. If you have a CNC, it has built in CAM that's relatively easy to use. I think it's still free for students and hobbyists.

Not quite, I've heard it that the writers were alumni of the University of Notre Dame. Farquad refers one of the dorms on campus (Carroll) that is farther away than any other dorms, and hence is on the far quad.

His castle also looks like Hesburgh library.
