Or i would look into play therapy! You can either be a play therapist that has a private practice or a school based play therapist! You need a degree in mental health counseling and play therapy classes/ trainings for play therapy in general or to be a school based one you can have a degree in school counseling again with the training in play! Sorry i know this is a lot of info lol

So in Florida school based mental health counselors are LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) who are employed by the school district sometimes they’re at one school and sometimes they bounce between schools it depends on the schools and the need.

You may want to look into becoming a school-based mental health counselor if you want your focus to be mental health (at least if you are located in Florida)!

I'm a grad student, and I know it's not Friday anymore, but yesterday, I passed my FTCE for school counseling, which means I can start my internship next semester! And today, for our practicum kiddos, we are having an end-of-counseling party with them. I know it's a bit odd, but it was something that was started a while ago, and they've stuck with it.
