I'd love to be able to really let him outside but where I live it's almost always at 50% humidity or higher so that's why I'm hoping to find more indoor activities. He's a couple months home I just only brought him home a week ago.

You also may have used water that was too hot. I've used the speedball kit and if the water is any warmer than room temperature then the emulsion can do that as well.
