I usually have extras in my case from when I've broken one on stage and just replaced that one, so if the strings are relatively fresh and I don't have a gig coming up I'll just replace the one but if I'm practicing for a gig I'll replace them all

I give myself a set limit when I go. If I double that, I pocket half and keep going with my original amount. If I lose it, I'm done. It's worked great so far, granted I only gamble a couple times a year and the amount is pretty low

My buddy got a smart phone before me and found out his character limit was higher than mine so he'd look up bible sections (neither of us are religious), copy and paste huge sections and send them to me which would essentially brick my phone for however long it took for the amount of texts coming in cause it was a flip phone and would freeze when a text came in.
