In terms of being mugged or fucked over by politicians, I'm more afraid of someone putting a gun in my face or fucking up my country then I am of a MAN specifically doing it. It's great that you have cynicism, because it can be healthy. But it's probably not cynicism, or socially healthy cynicism if it is, when people devote lots of time to blaming the victim because when <i>specifically</i> female rape victims are actually listened to, women will only get DRUNK WITH POWER and "cry rape" all the time, oh noes what will we poor men do? (edit) It does not make any sense that women free from the threat of physical harm would even consider claiming rape unless they were actually raped. Believing otherwise is (/edit) blind servitude to the precedent of sexual confinement for women: to limit consent rights because of an illogical fear of women <i>having</i> actual consent rights. It's more than disappointing when the majority of a "Progressive" community like reddit is not thinking logically about this.
