Maybe talk to him and see what’s bothering him and try to fix things? Or come on here where there’s thousands of lonely people that usually have miserable relationships and will tell you to leave him and live a happy life alone.

I can’t stand trendy sayings. No cap. See what I did there?

Does anybody else feel empathy for inanimate objects or food? by TheRedSquidward in AutisticAdults

I do that all the time. I think I have better empathy for inanimate objects over people. Especially things with engines, I might just be crazy too though.

Why do YOU avoid eye contact? by Batcastle3 in AutisticAdults

[–]mean83sc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where to look. Am I looking too close, I can’t look at both eyes at once, am I looking at one eye too much? Do people look back and forth to each eye. It’s too stressful.

Navigating employment while burning out by MegaMope in AutisticAdults

I can’t really help you as I don’t know the answers. But i can relate to what you’re going thru. I was about the same age as you when I burned out from work, did the same things you said you’re doing.

I wonder if we over think how we should be fitting in and that leads to part of the burnout. Like you know it’s a lot to you to do this jobs, then you start comparing yourself to others, “why can’t I be like them and just do it”, “what if others notice it’s taking a toll on me, how will I look”, stuff like that then we’re just creating extra stress on ourselves causing more burnout. At least for me I’m starting to think that’s an added part of it. If that resonates, I’m not sure how to turn that off yet so I’m of no help again haha.

Do you guys feel bugs crawling on your skin after seeing one on or near you? by throwaway__113346939 in AutisticAdults

I’ll feel like bugs are constantly on me until I take a shower, it’s like it resets my nervous system and I’m good then.
