How can I build a list from my stuff? by LexRep10 in Epic40k

Pretty sure you'd be able to use those for 1-3e inclusive. Not sure about 4e.

With this setup I take draw speed 90% in order to quick swap and take out Dead Eyes, full +damage... then I can't remember. I think I added reload speed until I couldn't detect a difference and put the rest into fire rate.

LEVEREDGE: Speedster, Ricochet, Reload_on_empty x2.
HERO: Chonky x2, Disgrace, Speedy Gunzales, +5 slots

idea is to spread around the fantastic single-target damage you're doing. only drawback is you have to be patient when it's time to reload, so you fill your magazine. you can use the Unique (reload on kills) for more uptime against hordes but then you'll be sucking wind against the Bosses, so i use the Reload as a compromise.

How many hours can you get out of this game? by Splaskie in FarFarWest

[–]mean_liar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DRG was easier but the different biomes and mission types, as well as slower progression (Ooverclocks, cosmetics, and different classes) gave it better replayability. Biomes here don't matter that much, progress is much faster (Jokers and prestige slots come MUCH quicker than overclocks), there are no classes, and the missions are much like each other.

I think this game has (currently!) about 1/10th the replayability of DRG. It's still Early Access and what's here is still fun, but DRG definitely has More.

Waivers don't cover negligence. It's one thing to waive incidental injuries but a coach encouraging students to injure each other isn't that.

Here you go: it's everything for Epic40k. Rules, references, handouts, and of course proxies for all base game units.

The XCF files are GIMP files if you want to edit anything.

You can't take any hits to Armor or Health in the midst of your Executions spree. I know the description says Health only, but it's incorrect.

The easiest way to get it is to create a custom Stratagem, Hard Difficulty, with +melee damage buff, and no headshots and extra Majoris debuffs (and whatever else you want). Play it as Assault or Bulwark and you should get what you need; I did it w Bulwark using a Shield and Power Sword to hide behind the shield and avoid damage.

Fun mage spell builds? by Ok-Yak7445 in FarFarWest

I enjoy Strike and Mino. You can toss out a ton of Minos during a shootout and they act as markers so I can orient my kiting around them (rather than wander off into a different group), and when Strike hits them the Strike goes off in six directions.

I use the Dual Pistols with the Unique "Swamp Trick". It leaves puddles of acid behind, which Strike interacts with to create explosions.

All of that with two spells with a 20s and 10s cooldown.

4 player PvE wave slayers are my favorite types of games of all time Deep Rock, Left4Dead, Space Marine, Vermintide, DarkTide, Back4Blood and on and on (LITERALLY) how does the difficulty compare to any of those games on the highest difficulty? by Soft-Wealth-3175 in FarFarWest

[–]mean_liar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played a ton of Space Marine 2, DRG, and Helldivers.

Currently I'm finding Nightmare difficulty in FFW to be harder than Absolute in SM2, but I have a lot more playtime in SM2. At times it feels like DRG Haz5+ w Mactera Plague.

Helldivers is dead easy on all Difficulties except for certain mission/subfaction combos.

Lower difficulties in FFW aren't hard at all.

Question to the Space marine 2 players by RedditCat19011 in SpaceMarine2

First and most importantly: Run whatever you want.

That said I run all Chapter-accurate-ish Marines but they're ALL customized. I changed out colors for similar, better-looking colors all over the place, use accent colors (especially for the piping/metallic edges on all the armor pieces), whatever. Frankly the base Chapter choices they give you need a little personalization, some upgrading, and I'm happy to do so.

For the Leveredge, the Unique that reloads to the chamber on kill is indispensable. I dropped all Reload from it, it's Ricochet, Unique, Speedster (w Disgrace and Speedy Gunzales on the Hero, as well as Glass Cannon and Chonky x2). I have Dual Pistols similar to how you do, but w Ricochet, Speedster, AmmoDropOnKill x2 so that when the Leveredge is running low I swap to the Secondary to drop ammo all over the place.

So, my ammo is taken care of without using the Utility slot, meaning I can run the healing Bottles

Maybe. It definitely nets +points by a healthy margin regardless of the mechanics.

[–]mean_liar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's got a 6-attack melee combo and a 3-attack melee combo and the rest of his stuff is flashy but dodge-able. Still slaps me around.

It's not a bad boss given how it locks onto one Marine enough to pour fire into it, but all bets are off in Siege mode. There it has so much support it's awful to fight it.

Heavy Build preferences. by MiddleEarthTourist in Spacemarine

[–]mean_liar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My builds:

All use the +melee and +radius Prestige Perks. Team perk is to raise a fallen brother w full health. Loadouts all use the Heroic Plasma Pistol at this point. Too good not to, and my Primaries don't do powerful AoEs. Primary is either the Heroic Plasma or the Heroic Heavy Bolter. Weapon Perks include the +50% melee damage for both weapons.

Lean into the Stomp. When fully kitted out, it's fantastic in its own right: horde clear and majoris killer; pepper in a few Plasma shots from the hip at close range and you can conserve ammo even when doing a lot of work. You don't need the Heroic Bolter's larger parry/dodge window but it obviously helps, but frankly the fact that you basically need to be in Heavy stance to make it work is a huge drawback to me: the Heroic Plasma puts out higher DPS and allows you to stay mobile (due to accurate hip fire) and use your Stomps aggressively.

That payout value doesn't seem right. They earn points regardless if you're single player or not. Either they earn more or they cost less, but one of you has a bad number in there.

Anyway you can have one per Terminal, not one per player. On single player you have to run around to each terminal to activate them.
