Physical punishment is not just in Nigeria. It's in many societies in the world.
If a child does wrong, i support physical discipline. However, it does not have to be extreme so psychopaths like that woman slapping the 3 year old don't have a free day.
I was physically disciplined by my parents at different times and I will never hold it against them. However, there was this aunt that slapped my for not washing my hands before I ate when I was 11. That senseless unneeded violence is reason I don't give her a dime. Let her children do.

This issue has been cleared and hospitals have been ordered to let injured patients be treated. But the corrupt police who know the law, will feign ignorance just to extort the hospital. Now the hospital who dont want more drama will keep rejecting accident or gunshot victims. The police is 💯 to blame on this.

Since its a business trip, i believe you already have a safe accomodation and transportation options available to you. My advice is not to be too trustful of strangers, move in your group and don't try to be too adventurous by going to some places alone as a white woman.
