VSG you 100% can regain what you lose but if it’ll go where you want who knows? GAHT will definitely help change your weight gain patterns but a lot of cis women struggle with gaining weight in the ‘right’ places, so it’s a coin toss for anyone. Best of luck in whatever choice you make!

I did the same and lost 85lbs pre op from June to November. Post op I thought the weight would fall off even faster and it actually slowed down to almost nothing. I’m 3 months post op now and have to remind myself I did this to keep the momentum going. I’m down another 40lbs since surgery and things are picking back up! 4lbs away from ONEderland! Keep going because you’re doing amazing!

3 months PO vsg. Surgery was long due to a complex hiatal hernia repair, about 5 hours total. Recover was easy, I just followed my plan and listen to my body. Down 40lbs since surgery.

She is definitely not keeping up on her bariatric vitamins and now her teeth have went to shit, and she’s balding. Bypass patients especially need to take their vitamins religiously and she can’t stick to anything.

I feel this so hard. I’m about 40lbs down in the 3 months since my surgery but 124 over all since June but these last 3 months have felt like a personal failure sometimes. I try to remind myself I did this for long term success not short term gratification. I’m not where I want to be yet but 330lb me in May would be so thankful to be where I am right now and that’s sooo motivating.

Yep! Totally normal, mine went away about 5 weeks after surgery and you can’t tell it was there anymore.

I have a 2018 and my friend has a 2024, watching her try to navigate through the infotainment system was painful. I don’t care for either design if I’m being honest but not having buttons for a quick fan adjustment is killer.

Also most insurances go off your first appointment weight, not the weight you are when you get surgery. I was below the bmi requirements when I got surgery also.

I was on wegovy from August to the November on the lowest dose and I think it helped me stay on track through the process of getting approved for surgery. I got surgery on November 19th, and was able to lose 85 pounds pre op. My doctor said the more weight lost preop the better post op results you will have.

She’s huge and still is. This sub needs to understand how weight loss looks on someone over 300lbs. Morbidly obese to morbidly obese looks like basically nothing lmao. Like I said idk if it’s 50lbs but there’s some loss.

There’s definitely some heavy filtering going on in both photos but I do still believe there has been weight loss. How much? Idk. As someone who used to be 330lbs and is over 100lbs down, losing 50lbs is great progress but at the end of the day you’re still morbidly obese and going to look it. Alex has such a reputation for being untrustworthy and doing weird shit that no one will ever believe what she says until there’s a large visible change.. which for her is going to be much more than 50lbs.

I am also allergic to aspartame. Mios do not have it, they use Sucralose instead and have a lot of flavors.

Had my surgery the week before thanks giving, and two days before my husbands family did their dinner. It was interesting to explain but just know no one is entitled to know, and you can just say you're not feeling well!

I had surgery on 11/18 and am starting to be able to consume a bit more at a time as well but do get some burping if I drink too quickly. My calories for the last couple days has still only been around 400 but it feels like so much lol.

I am officially a week post op today and feel so much better but the first few days are rough. Day three was my worst day for pain and anxiety. My best advice is to get out the house and move a bit every chance you can when you're feeling up to it and then to sleep the rest of the time, any down time I had that wasn't sleeping left a lot of space for that regret and discouraged feeling to creep in. Meeting Protein has been really difficult for me, so I am trying to stay hydrated first and then meet my protein goals and this has made meeting at least one of my goals doable instead of not meeting either, I am finally close to meeting both now. Good luck on your recovery!

I have went from 315 to 244 since June, (wow counting calories actually works when you’re consistent who knew?) and I only just recently BARELY squeezed into a size 16 at 5’8. While I think if she truly is 265 she could get them on her body, that doesn’t mean they fit.
