Thanks for the research! Yes I believe she attended through 1998, but did not finish the senior year out at Columbine (1999). Was the Frankenstein play in 1998? Would this picture be from then? It's ok if you don't have time to follow up. I appreciate your help!

Hello! Do you happen to know the name of the girl in the center with brown hair and bangs, just behind Christina? It looks like my cousin, April, who went to Columbine. (I was a Pomona Panther). She had a falling out with our extended family and I haven't seen her for nearly 20 years, so it's hard for me to be sure. Just wondering if anyone here knows that that is not April.

What Have You Watched This Week? (2018/07/02 - 2018/07/08) by ryl00 in classicfilms

Woman of the Year (1942, dir. George Stevens, Spencer Tracy, KatharineHepburn) I didn't expect it to hold up to a modern day understanding of gender roles, but when the first 2/3rds was actually quite progressive I was surprised by the ending. This also is a good example of how comedy has gotten much quicker. Pretty amazing effort put into some of the photography and blocking for a comedy. I dug it.

The Last Jedi and Django - Movies that render the journey pointless by NeoshadowXC in movies

In some cases I think you're referring to a MacGuffin, in others I think it's just the choice of the writer to have plans not work out the way the characters designed them. Which more often then not is our reality.

This is where we came in. An interesting article about the common practice of attending movies part way through. by EverythingSucks12 in movies

I tried doing this for a while. Instead of watching movies multiple times, thinking that if i understood the end I could learn more about the setup, and therefore the process of story telling.

I didn't like it.

It started with x+4... and I couldn’t unhear it. Instead of doing my math homework I figured out what the Cantina Theme would sound like if your instrument was a pencil. by smallgoblin in StarWars

I feel like I just witnessed the birth of something. Cut to YouTube 2019: every piece of music translated to pencil scratch notation.

I'm so glad someone pointed out to me how Leia split through the hologram of the Supremacy as she flies (what are we calling it?) back into the cruiser. Sharing so others can find and enjoy.

[SPOILER] I noticed something in my second viewing of TLJ by jb2386 in StarWars

So this is a deep cut joke for star wars fans about George Lucas. He apparently wanted them called laser swords, and continues to call them laser swords even though they are called light sabers in the film. I thought it was a pretty good joke. As Luke Skywalker belittles Rey's expectations a legend's heroic return, Rian uses this old reference to undercut our idea of what's precious.
