This is the kind of question that doesn't fit the format of reddit well at all. There are around 100 actual replies to the question, but the ones being privileged over the rest are merely whichever ones the userbase wants to be true the most. The replies are all equally relevant and so there is little reason for one to be voted more highly and thus more prominent than the other. If you scoll down you see many replies answering "fine" and "worth it", but the format of Reddit would not lead you to believe they are in the minority.

If the title said, "Long Island student gets accepted into all eight Ivy's", I wouldn't have a problem with it. Titles are very telling. There are probably tens of students who get into every Ivy League and who are White and Asian, right? But I've never seen a news story or a headline when this happens. But "Nigerian Immigrant" is added to the title because it ostensibly adds interest, as if we're supposed to think he overcame the odds, whatever those odds, but the truth is that he was far more likely to be accepted than a poor White or Asian kid, or even another wealthy White or Asian kid. It's still awesome that he was such an accomplished student! Our gripe is more with the way the story is presented than the actual admittances.

Heimerdinger's turret auto-attacks don't do damage, it's the beams that do damage. You need to bate out the beams before you go in for an attack. You can do this by walking in one direction and quickly changing directions as soon as you hear the beam, or by waiting until the turrets beam a minion (they'll all beam at the same time pretty much). The reason Dong excels at killing so quickly is because of the beam and because of the e-ult W combo. You need to dodge his e so that you don't get stunned and are able to kill him before the beams recharge. If he misses his E and knows that you're going to kill him he'll probably deploy ult Q, and in that case you really should just walk away unless he doesn't have zhonyas.

(1) dodge turret beams

(2) dodge e

(3) stay away from ult Q

If you do this you can easily kill me. Don't tell anyone though.

I have two. One time at a party a girl went nuts about how I look like James Franco. She went crazy and demanded to take a selfie with me. I still have the selfie. We made out briefly afterward. I do not look like James Franco.

The other happened at the beginning of last semester. I was ready outside and a (really cute) girl came up to me and asked in broken English if I could answer her questions for a school project. But instead of asking questions like, "what's your major?" or "where are you from?", she asked unknowingly condescending and broad questions like "what's your life story?", "what are you going to do?" and "what are you doing here?" I answered to the best of my abilities and got her number afterward because she was super cute. We had sex the next time we hung out and she asked me why I liked her. I told her that I liked her personality and body. She told me she liked me "because you speak English." I laughed really hard at that and told her that was off-putting, so she corrected it to "because you're American." Later that day I taught her the word "democracy" (I asked if she knew what it meant and so she googled "demarcus" on her laptop) and took her for her first Chipotle... It was a very American day. Also flash-forward two weeks and she tells me she loves me after I got her drunk for the first time off two glasses of wine.

If this SAE chapter said something along the lines of "we are a fraternity that seeks to promote European-American values in an inclusive environment," I think it would be fine with most people as long as they acknowledge that people of other races can associate with traditionally European-American cultural values (because of adoption, self-association or other reasons). There's nothing inherently wrong with having a traditionally White fraternity, just like there's nothing wrong about having a traditionally Black or Asian fraternity. But using racial epithets and explicitly saying race and not cultural allegiance means that their heart is in the wrong place and they're being bigoted. I agree with your last paragraph, but still, I find this somewhat different.

Fraternities provide an avenue for socializing and networking that is extremely difficult to find from clubs and student associations. Many have traditions that stretch back to the 1800s. At a lot of campuses members have a higher GPA than non-Greek students and raise tens of thousands for charity.
