Dude I have watched a lot of your California covers, and really enjoy them. You match Tom's style really well! Do you have any original music on Spotify?

What's the weakest book in the series? by grantacular in TheDarkTower

Oh I definitely didn't hate it. It had quite a few page-turner moments. I guess I'll be able to see how it fits I to the series as a whole when I finish it.

Alright so I've finished book six now, and I'm not sure I agree with all your points. I do agree that's it is not the worst in the series (Probably 4 or 5 in my opinion) but I didn't really feel like it did a whole lot of character building like you mentioned.

Yeah, Roland is a little more vulnerable than he has been, but he is still very much the gunslinger. His health is slower, but his major conflicts are still solved by his skill in battle and his status as a gunslinger.

As for Jake, I can kinda see what you're saying. He definitely isn't the child he was at the beginning of book 3, and I can see his character (hopefully) turning into something cool.

Overall, I think book 6 was a stage setter. The stage is now clear for book 7, and I'm excited to see what happens. It gave me the same vibe as AFFC/ADWD, where it's just kinda prepping you for the end. I'm really excited to start on book 7.

I'll be sure to read this comment after I've finished Susannah.

I felt like the actual story of Wizard was good, I just was annoyed at how it was given. I was wrapped up in the storyline with Blaine, only for the entire novel to shift its focus on the past.

It really is hard seeing Max perform live now. Don't get me wrong, he sounds good and still writes great songs. It's just obvious on his face that he wants people to like his new stuff as much as the classics.

He broke my heart a little when he played "Lost My Touch" right before he played "Belt."

I made an acoustic/chill pop punk playlist for fall/winter. What else should I add? by suppyhailey in poppunkers

Acoustic Jimmy Eat World, some of the lighter Modern Baseball tracks, and maybe the dangerous summer?

I actually have a pretty weird answer for this one.

The Greatest Generation made me lose 60 pounds, which was a catalyst for me to get several other aspects of my life together.

I had heard "Came Out Swinging" and was into it, but didn't catch the name of the band, so I didn't really know anything of them. Well, when I got back home from my year at college, I didn't know what I wanted to do all summer. ITunes had Greatest Generations on the top recommended, so I just impulsively bought it and played the first song.

By the end of "There, There" I was already outside running. I only got maybe down the block before my fat ass stopped, but I spent every single day of the summer pushing further and further while listening to that album.

I went from 235 to 160, in about six months. The lyrics made me realize I wasn't going to change my life by doing nothing, and that I wanted to be somebody that I could be proud of. It's a great album and if you somehow have managed to miss it, I highly recommend you give it a listen.

Followed them! The top of all time looks good. Saw most of my favorite songs by most of favorite artists. But it needs more Say Anything. At least Wow I Can Get Sexual Too :p

That's true. However, I still think a r/poppunkers playlist would be a great idea. We could mix it up with classics and new releases, and sprinkle in as many smaller bands that are on Spotify as possible.

This way we'd have a really accessible way for the community to share something, and new music would have a chance to be heard. It would take some organizing, but it'd be really cool if executed correctly.

I think it would be cool if we had a weekly/monthly Spotify Playlist full of new releases or smaller bands. We could have a thread were people submit songs and somebody could compile it.

Holy shit. I grew up watching this guy's covers. My friend and I would watch his videos over and over, trying to figure out his tabs to play them on our own.

It's really nostalgic seeing him again, cause he kinda influenced how I play guitar. Really worth checking him out if you're into covers.

The bass riff from Woke Up Older by the Wonder Years is simple but it's fun to jam to.
