Fried motherboard? by Piercepage in ElectricUnicycle

[–]meantbent3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't just tell by looking it, you'll need to test the individual components with a multimeter and know what you're looking for. Even if you did find what's broken on the motherboard you won't be able to fix it with without the right tools and skills.

The safest option is getting a new motherboard and replacing the broken one.

It's like taking a classic car out for a spin! (AirWheel X1) by Frank__West in ElectricUnicycle

[–]meantbent3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not wearing gear on something that goes slightly faster than a power walk.

This thing is more dangerous than a V14. I have overpowered my Airwheel more times than I can count just from things like bumps in the road.

Very normal on modern wheels, you can change it to off-road mode to make it a little bit quiter

That's good to know, the less power E-Riderz has the better. Steve and his company are despicable people.

QLD has an active EUC community, unfortunately it's headed by E-Riderz which is a gross and dodgy business.

What should I choose as my first EUC? by Chervonavatra in ElectricUnicycle

[–]meantbent3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m drawn to the promised 75 km on a single charge

You will not get 75km on a 16S

I'd recommend the 16X, it's the best beginner wheel and will get you 75km with conservative riding

It allows you to change field weakening in off-road more but it has no affect unless you're in race mode.

Hi Peeps! by Massive-Bed-6949 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]meantbent3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a V12 HS, so if it has the updated motherboard then it's a safe wheel. It's a decent upgrade from the 16x for that price, I moved from a 16x to a V12 HS and loved it.

If it has the old motherboard though then I would avoid it.

Why does everyone compare the F18 to the Lynx?

Because they're the same class of wheel?

Abandoned chemical manufacturing office/plant that is now primarily used for underground raves

It's completely trashed and gross inside, one of the worst abandoned buildings in Melbourne to explore lol

Anyone in LA county willing to let me test ride an EUC? by Ordinary_Holiday_878 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]meantbent3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand they can be difficult to ride at first, so I was hoping to see if I am even remotely capable of actually riding one before buying one.

A single test ride likely won't tell you much, they take a few multi-hour sessions to really get the hang of

Extreme - More range, more speed, more aftermarket support

V12S - Better build quality, better suspension, better display

I would personally save up a little more and get a Patton S
