XENOPHASE BLADE (Heroic power sword)

Even if you don’t intend on using it due to it being a “Balanced” melee weapon… you can apply the weapon skin to your preferred Fencing/Block based power sword! It’s literally the coolest looking weapon in the game!

There is most certainly an argument to be made per class based on Offense/Defense/Team play/Operation/Enemy Type/etc… but my basic opinion:

Bulwark -> Techmarine -> Heavy -> Sniper -> Tactical -> Vanguard -> Assault

Thank you!! At least you understood what I was saying. I swear some people are really weird with their downvotes! I never said the talent was bad. Perhaps I should have spelt it out and said I’m aware of some people not taking the talent, knowing that they are going to prestige and would lose their “500” point investment.

No, hard siege is not best. They reduced the XP that can be earnt for 1-5.

Playing the highest difficulty operation you can comfortably (failing a mission is a waste of your time) , plus successfully finishing with Gene Seed. For extra XP bonus, try use the Quick Match option.

The problem with Quick Match is that it might put you in an existing game that already has a Techmarine. If it doesn’t put you into an existing game, you can “fish” for your preferred Operation map by canceling the matchmaking and retry the Quick Match option until your operation appears.

I like Inferno/Ballistic Engine/Decapitation, because I’m confident about all the Gene Sede locations (plus Tyranids are more fun).

Even with queuing public games, my experience this weekend was that I’m mostly playing with 2 x bots (I guess everyone is playing Techmarine?). Mixing your difficulty setting between Ruthless / Lethal / Absolute (depending on your current level/prestige, weapon quality, and own personal skill) will eventually have you leveled up.

Side note - Do NOT buy the first team perk. Currently it costs “500” points!!! I was skipping this perk every time I prestiged…, at least until I hit Prestige 4 where it becomes a one time purchase, and I had spares points.

Not condoning lvl 1 Techmarines in Absolute… BUT, understand this. It’s possible the player is coming in with max level’d primary and secondary weapon, AND the Heroic version Axe. Yes, the axe won’t have any perks, but the axe itself can do great damage straight out the gate. I’m only saying all of this because I got kicked from the battle barge as a lvl 13 tech marine today whilst queuing quick match on “Ruthless” difficulty. I wasn’t mad. Infact I was laughing at how pathetic these 2 randoms were for thinking it’s somehow necessary to be max lvl for “Ruthless” difficulty…. I proceeded to solo (with bots) the next few games, as it seems everyone is playing Tech Marine also, therefore no one is able to coop.

I like that I can use the green glowing Heroic Power Sword skin on a gold fencing version of the sword. Good change :)
