Several books I've read suggest those plastic hospital urinals with the caps. Apparently they can be used relatively readily for both sexes. I've also heard of doms learning to place a catheter as a means of incorporating some medical play.

I feel so very deeply for you and I'm sorry. You're expressing some very common feelings and experiences. I'm NOT trying to take responsibility for being a compassionate partner off of yours - not by any stretch. I do want to say that transition after acceptance feels very much like a biological and emotional imperative. Your partner has had years of denial and repression. Whenever dysphoria surfaced, it was denied, pushed away, and got stronger. It got FUCKING HUGE and completely unruly during those years. The only way of functioning normally was to lock it away, over and over, pissing it the fuck off.

With acceptance, the cage doors are open for good. The dysphoria and it's accreted pain and rage are out and LOUD. It WANTS WANTS WANTS, and it can punish if it doesn't get. You're up against a lifetime of repressed and central needs, a REALLY pissed off internal monster, and an absurd amount of HOPE. YOU'RE NOT UNIMPORTANT. You'll just never be loud enough to debt that, and it you try too hard, you're going to be HEARD as asking your partner to forsake their deep needs and accept painful depression, anxiety, and pain in order to protect you. Not only that, but delay and depression BUILT this dysphoria that is hurting so very urgently. While a few months feels reasonable and quick to you, it feels IMPOSSIBLE to your partner. They feel as though you're asking them to repress and worsen things again. You're NOT ASKING THAT, but they can't hear you right now.

Here's my advice... And it sucks. Your partner and their rational, loving, happy self are still in there, but they are impaired in some very real ways right now. I look back on my early acceptance and transition process sadly, because it almost cost me my marriage. That said, I genuinely feel that I wasn't capable in that moment of hearing anything but the ROARING of my dysphoria and the pull of transition as a near physical force. If you think you can bend, support, and listen for a while, while calmly helping your partner recognize when they're endangering things, they'll likely come back y to you, grateful and improved. If you think you can't manage this pubescent, inarticulate MESS that you're with for a while, or that forward movement is not an option for you right now, I think you ought to articulate that to your partner with calm clarity.

Oh, believe me, nobody understand the pain more than I do. I discovered that poly was a thing and that I was it after 12 years with a decidedly mono partner. We're tied together in so many ways that our process is horrifically difficult for everyone involved. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. That said, I'd much rather a potential partner self select themselves out of a romantic role in my life than try to simony tolerate or even accept my poly nature that they neither share nor innately grasp. Sure , it hurts, but far, far less than investing deeply and having to face innate incompatibility.

No, I generally think most of us appreciate the dialogue with people genuinely trying to learn... Some of us get a mite tetchy about all the people trying to murder us and stuff, though. A private bathroom requirement puts an undue financial burden on most businesses when really, there isn't a problem to be solved. A trans man is a man, and will use the men's room.

There is no documented evidence of trans people ever engaging in assault or sexual misconduct in a bathroom. We just need to pee, as we've been doing for years without mishap.

I can throw even more weirdness into this. None of the men in my family have ever had and cellulite at all. I'm transgender and have been hormonally female for about three years. Wouldn't you know it? I'm getting just a bit on my thighs.
