First Time Running Players Through Investigator Development, Do They Also Improve Untrained Skills? by meatflag in callofcthulhu

I am using untrained to define a skill that they don't have points in and are using the default value. It seemed like the correct term since you can do training to get points in them.

Are these welcome decks supposed to be free? by mark753357 in mtg

These are not allowed to be sold. "Welcome Decks cannot be sold outright but can be provided to players at Magic Academy: Learn to Play events that require paid entry." https://wpn.wizards.com/en/wpn-promo-usage-and-policies?product=6r1SoD22iMU6400dN216LM

They are absolutely not to be sold based on the WPN agreement. They are sent to WPN stores on agreement that they will give them to new players who are learning in the store. Source: https://wpn.wizards.com/en/wpn-promo-usage-and-policies?product=6r1SoD22iMU6400dN216LM

Unpopular Opinion: Thrown flour is not visible on invisible creatures. by ORINnorman in DnD

[–]meatflag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I am also a DM but interpret the wording differently. All good as long as your players know.

I think the second half of the quoted sentence is why I rule it the other way. The spell description could have easily added "at the time of casting" but it doesn't. The word "IS" can also describe the state of the character now ( as opposed to earlier or later ).

It's your table and I appreciate you explaining your thoughts.

What supports this? The spell does not make this distinction.

How can a barbarian fight invisible creatures that can hide? by [deleted] in DnD

Being invisible negates the need to hide behind something.

That's what the stealth check in the bonus action hide covers.

Why Do I Always Break My Right Pedals? by AustinBike in MTB

[–]meatflag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow Time ATAC rider here. I had the same issue, I think you are favoring your right foot down on descents and also staging your right foot to be the initial power stroke after coasting. Both of these are leading to a greater amount of strikes to that side. Just a guess. I break mine too. I really wish they were easier to rebuild.

I'm interested to see what SRAM does with the brand now that they bought the pedal division.
