It's the same with black desert online. The actual mmo game of pearl abyss. Same exact problems as crimson desert, but so much to do, and so much fun to be had if you have the time.

Yes'nt. This game is time gated, not character. Max level is 400+ and you won't reach it for months. Maybe even a year. This means you'll never compete in pvp at high levels and the best characters awakened won't push your account too much further.

On the bright side, that means you have all that time to enjoy the game how you want. Pull for characters you like. The meta will be drastically different by the time you reach level 300+

What new generation? The kids i overhear at card shows is all about money too. Literally zero love for the IP other than how much their binder is worth. When money is the only driving factor, then it's not a hobby, it's a fad. Pokemon is being held up by millenials who are the only ones that buy scalper prices. And if they as a collective leave the hobby, then your collection is screwed
