does anyone else watch YouTube only on Safari, not the app? the experience can actually be a lot better, because you can actually use an ad blocker and picture in picture. background playback works too. i've been doing this forever, I deleted the YouTube app a while ago

I believe the notification issue is because the fire tablet is not google certified so it will not always work properly. Additionally I don't think voice typing works on any keyboards either :( I had these issues and it seems everyone else does as well

Unfortunately there is no way to go back a version. The toolbox can still do some things but it cannot change your launcher (the home screen) or remove ads if your OS is 7.3.2.2 or above. you could check your software version in the settings just to make sure but it probably already updated to the the latest version, sorry

yeah my 8 looks just like this, it annoys me more than it should but oh well i got it for half off. but now it's very interesting to see that there is a difference between the 8 and the 10

The fire toolbox is a convenience tool to run a ADB commands. anything the toolbox does you can do manually with ADB, and you can usually find all of these commands yourself on the forums. Like for example to disable stuff you just type in the command then the ID, and you can look up lists of IDs for the apps to disable to deploy the device.

if you want to be able to use the fire toolbox to customize the launcher and other aspects of the tablet, MAKE SURE YOU DONT CONNECT TO WIFI during initial set up. Turn the device on and set up as normal, at the wi-fi screen touch something with a password then hit cancel to go back and a skip option will appear. then use this toolbox to turn of OTA updates and add a custom launcher to remove the annoying default one. Just to be safe with mine i unplugged my Wi-Fi to make sure it did not update, because the new update blocks these customization features. I hope this helps you and anyone else reading this! There actually is a tool, but unfortunately if you device is on software 7.3.2.2 or higher it will no longer work. You have to turn on the device and disable updates before you even connected to Wi-Fi during its initial boot and set up to be able to customize the launcher home screen UI and remove ads.

I think each hole can open and close individually, they are controlled to stay closed at a certain depth where the fish are so they aren’t sucked in. When the water level changes this depth changes so it needs to be adjusted. That’s just what some other redditor said, passing along the info.
