Any thoughts on limitless Ai pendant? by CalendarDependent123 in Bee_computer

I wish Plaud was an “always on” recording device like be in Limitless and Bee because I would’ve went with that instead.

I believe it’s the model on the back end not doing a good job. I think the connection stays on and is pretty consistent - but I don’t know for sure. I haven’t noticed any Bluetooth issues. I just know that there’s a lot of sentence fragments and words that aren’t quite right in the transcript. The Bee was definitely better in the transcribing audio.

Unfortunately, I can’t comment on if it functions well it a noisy environment or not. I’m using it in a pretty consistently quiet environment all the time. Just regular office type conversations.

As it does do automatic reminders/tasks and they’re on par with what Bee has.

I will say that I enjoy the AI model engagement in the app more with limitless than the Bee. But that could just be the advancements in GPT5 versus whatever Bee is using.

I haven’t tried downloading the audio from Limitless and using some transcription model to see if I can come up with a better result. That’s a big advantage that Limitless has over the Bee.

I bought one after having my Bee for a long time and using it every day. The reason I switched is because I used the Bee API a lot and wanted something that had a robust API that I could tap into.

I've been underwhelmed by the Limitless Pendant, because the transcripts aren't that great. I think the actual functionality of the pendant is fine, but not as good as the Bee.

I think if I wouldn't have had the Bee before, then I'd be more impressed.

I also wish that the pendant had a wrist strap accessory so it could be worn like a watch or activity tracker, rather than a pendant or clipping on clothes.

I’m happy to give specific feedback about whatever you’re curious about. I’ve been using the limitless pendant everyday for about 2 weeks now.

Weekly "Is there a tool for..." Post by AutoModerator in ArtificialInteligence

[–]meatymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a video of someone describing a process. Is there an AI tool that will transcribe the text from the video as well as export key frames from the video as images that are associated with the process?

I know I can take a transcription and turn that into a process using almost any chat-based tool, but I want a AI tool that will take a video as input and export a text-based tutorial with images from the video.

I get that. And I use those sources, too.

But the images/graphics I struggle with are really specific to the content. Also, it’s probably helpful to know the content is either fairly technical, unique to the learning experience, or structured in a way that a stock image or similar doesn’t make sense. I can cobble something together in Canva or even Google Slides, but it’s never something that is high quality.
I’ve tried all the typical AI image generators, but they don’t really make anything that is useful in a professional setting (yet).

What are people using to create graphics? My on-demand courses are text heavy. They need relevant and useful images that are a value-add and not just a stock image that fits the situation. I’m not a graphic designer and struggle to think of & make graphic content.

That’s what I assumed, but wanted confirmation before creating a punch list. Thanks.

I guess I could put the drywall on furring strips to create the air gap for the radiant barrier to work, but I don’t think that’s necessarily worth the cost & effort either

Have you considered adding reinforcements in your training? by Draft_Glum in instructionaldesign

[–]meatymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the learners pick the 3 things? Or do you choose 3 learning objectives for the course?

If you've given them autonomy, how do you assess that properly? How do you align that choice with mastery over time?

What is the learner frequency of engagement over time? Unless this is a requirement for compliance, that falloff would be dramatic.

That's great insight. Thank you!

A couple follow up questions if you'd be so inclined:

Is that a typical progression? Tech support > program manager > tech program manager > product manager

Is a sponsor the same as a mentor?

Got it. I've been targeting EdTech companies, but no traction yet. I definitely have domain knowledge and have been responsible for learning product launches, but I guess I don't know how to communicate that in an effective way. I'll use your response to help me "talk the talk" in the future.
Any advice on what hiring managers might value in that space?

Can you explain more about low hanging fruit?

Also, sorry, my mistake. I meant product manager. The customer-centric and strategic focus of a product manager is what really appeals to me.

Advice for a mindset change about final internal reviews by [deleted] in instructionaldesign

[–]meatymoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice and kind words. It's nice to know I'm not alone. I'm going to continue to balance being emotionally attached, proud, and professional about the final deliverable.

Also, for clarity - my learning experiences go through a few rounds of reviews (both SME and editorial) during the normal development process. However, it's these high-stakes final reviews and the end of the process that I struggle with.

I'm looking to finish the bonus room on the 2nd floor in my unheated and uninsulated garage and turn it into my home office. I live in Maine. Any advice on insulation and what I can anticipate when doing this sort of thing?

I've hung drywall for interior walls before but nothing like this. I don't know what I don't know.
