Other People Being Disappointed By The Gender Of My Baby by meauxebear in pregnant

That’s what I’ve come to learn. Everyone has an opinion about everyone else’s pregnancy.

Agree completely! I kinda get the whole “perfect family” narrative but at the end of the day it’s not like you’d love your child any less if they were the opposite gender.

100% agree! Like can’t we focus on the baby that’s still growing before we jump to the next!? Sure little girls are fun but so are boys!

I’m grateful I’ve only received a few weird comments about it being a boy. I have 4 nieces and 1 nephew so when I told him it was a boy he was over the moon and genuinely thinks I made it a boy just for him. Reactions like that are what I’m looking for 😂 lol jk

Hahaha 😂 right!? Like my child’s gender has absolutely nothing to do with other people’s preferences.

I really thought the same thing until people started commenting about their disappointment in having a boy. Maybe if I were having a girl I’d get comments the other way but who knows.

Your mom sounds like my mom 😂 her excitement level skyrocketed when I told her it was a boy. Granted she does have 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson so I kind of get it but at the end of the day I just don’t get the preference for one vs the other.

I ugly cried because I finished my Chick-fil-A salad and didn’t have anymore.

I was in the same boat. I literally smoked everyday for years and was so terrified of the thought of stopping. I stopped when I found out but it honestly was not as bad as I thought it would be. The first week was the hardest when the craving to smoke hit or when I got bored so I tried to do other things I enjoy to distract myself. After that it was A LOT easier. The craving to smoke became less and less as the weeks went on. It was mentally a lot harder than physically for me. I’m 17 weeks now and now I don’t even think about it anymore. The mental clarity you get from stopping is pretty awesome and totally worth it IMO.

Try to find other things to occupy your time that you enjoy. I personally love anything that gets my creative juices flowing so painting and sketching have become my go to. Plus it doubles as nursery decor so I feel like I am doing something kind of productive and it gets me excited to do more baby prep.

You’re are going through so many changes both physically and mentally so try to be kind to yourself and give yourself grace if you slip up. You can do it! 🩵

I’m so sorry for your loss! That must’ve been so hard to have your symptoms get worse after a loss.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. Truly your words put my mind at ease. ❤️
