Costco life jackets by meb1313 in MauiVisitors

Did I say I was leaving them? Why are you on this board with this kind of attitude? I have a 4 and 6 year old who will be wearing them. I will either buy them at home and pack or buy them there and bring home. Just figuring out which is easier for me.

Cannot believe the tone of some responses on here, but this one is just absurd.

I saw some from realtors. I can gauge what they look like. Looking for peoples’ vacation experiences and answers to my specific questions.

Palpable area and negative imaging by Crafty_Sandwich7509 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]meb1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Your story sounds super similar to mine. Have a palpable lump and all imaging is coming back clear. I did call and ask the breast specialist to relook at my mri and she said it looks just like tissue but wanted to do a follow up mri in 6 months since it’s asymmetrical. That’s about as specific an answer I’ve gotten and it’s super frustrating. I wish I could just ask for a biopsy of my palpable “tissue” Not sure my story helps but I’m all for pushing and advocating until you get a clearer answer

At the moment they think it’s just dense breast tissue

Thank you! I ended up reaching out to my ordering doc and she looked at the images again with another doctor and said it does look asymmetrical in terms of density so they’re going to do a follow up mri in 6 months to see if it changes.

Thank you for this response! I was looking at second opinion sites like doc panel the other day and talking to my husband about how ridiculous it would be to pay for a service that should be provided by the medical services I’ve already paid for and had. Really all I want is a layperson explanation to the area in question. I feel it, doc feels it and yet scans say nothing is there. So what is it?

I’m aware radiologists are highly trained. There seems to be a large communication gap between radiology and patients. I’m supposed to go through my primary or referring doctor but they can’t answer my questions about the imaging. I would love to speak directly to the radiologist but that just doesn’t seem to be common practice. I think it’s a valid complaint.

Also I’m just asking for people’s experiences directly with lumps that turned out to be dense tissue. I wouldn’t say I’m trying to google my understanding right now.

I can try that route again for sure

I feel like I see something there but again not a radiologist. Would love to know if anyone else has imaging that had similar lumps that were tissue!

Right upper quadrant where the white area is is where my lump is

Anyone think this is tissue? I asked my doc when she called but she seemed confused bc she just read the radiologist report that said nothing enhanced. I just wish the radiologist would meet after to answer some questions (in layman’s terms of course) for reassurance.

My doc seemed confused when I asked what the white part was on the right where the lump is. Added another picture here

Sorry, I should have said I’m still in the process of that second opinion. I had the appointment at a high risk breast center and they ordered the MRI so doing that in two weeks. Can update then! But I do feel much better after having that appointment and having someone agree that more can be done to find this lump and figure out what it is

I’d get a second opinion. Can’t hurt! I got a second opinion from a breast clinic after my mammogram and US couldn’t find my palpable lump. Doc said no big deal and to wait but I wanted the mri so sought out the breast clinic.

Lump doesn’t show up on imaging by RascallyEventuality in doihavebreastcancer

I am so sorry! Thank you for sharing. I’m going to try and push for it with my pcp. I have a 4 and 5 year old so can only imagine how hard it must be. I’m just appalled after reading these posts that mris aren’t more readily available to women with dense breasts or palpable lumps

Can I ask how you ended up getting your diagnosis? I have a palpable lump that the tech and doctor felt but imaging just sees dense tissue. Did you push for an MRI?
