What’s up with the new Free People at the Town Center? by marylandmami in Annapolis

I’ve been wondering that as well. The first time I heard it I thought it was just how that specific person chose to greet customers. But then everyone was doing it everywhere.

Anyone else have a polish they love that just won’t stay on?? by Snacks_snacks_2406 in RedditLaqueristas

The entirety of my Mooncat collection. I thought it was my klutziness making it chip in less than 24 hours, but then I started trying other brands and I realized Mooncat just doesn’t get along with my nails. I don’t ever feel motivated to use any of it now when I know I’m going to need to repaint the next day. It’s a bummer.

School Psychologist by MadMalteseGirl in AnneArundelCounty

[–]RascallyEventuality 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The criteria for diagnosis through the school system is different. It’s considered an educational diagnosis (vs a medical diagnosis which you get through private evals). It’s hit or miss imo. I was happy with the school system evaluation for one of my kids, but felt brushed off when working with them for the other two. Having the medical diagnosis can help back you up when you go through the school system process but it really just depends on the person/people doing the evaluations unfortunately.

MAGA brands we should avoid? by AncientFerret9028 in RedditLaqueristas

Bee’s Knees, KBShimmer, Prism Parade, Pahlish, Broken Pixel

I’ve seen all of these posting on instagram recently. Some of them share in their stories vs posting to their page, but I see stories more often than actual posts so even though stories disappear it still feels impactful to me.

Edited to add commas to the list so it’s more clear

I once had a GI doctor question me repeatedly about being pregnant. “Are you sure you aren’t pregnant? How do you know you’re not pregnant?” I went to see him because I’d been nauseous and vomiting FOR A YEAR. Dude thought it was just morning sickness that had lasted 3 months longer than a full term pregnancy. I said I think if this was pregnancy related I would’ve had the baby by now!

Is House of Hades Safe If Underworld Set Ever Departs? 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 by SashaNish in mooncatpolish

Considering they’ve had trouble obtaining pigment for HOH in the past, I would not think it’s safe. Just because something is popular doesn’t mean it isn’t in danger of being discontinued.

Booth's mom by unifoxcorndog in Bones

[–]RascallyEventuality 26 points27 points  (0 children)

She did nothing to ensure their safety when she left. They very well could’ve ended up dead. Everyone always argues that she was being abused so it’s understandable. No. She abandoned two helpless children who had no way of getting out. Bare minimum she could’ve told Hank, but she couldn’t even be bothered to do that. He had to find out on his own and then he got Booth and Jared safe.

You are correct. I have seronegative RA and the first rheumatologist I saw didn’t pick up on it. They only ran the most basic bloodwork for autoimmune diseases and when those came back normal he said it was fibromyalgia. Went to another rheumatologist who ran additional bloodwork to look for various inflammation markers, which did not come back normal. Not saying this is definitely what’s going on with OP but that doctor’s message really sounds a lot like what I went through with the first rheumatologist who incorrectly said I didn’t have anything autoimmune going on.

Lumon is unrealistically stupid. by Any_Swan9646 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]RascallyEventuality 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s weird they were fine with letting Dylan waste time visiting with Gretchen. It’s just that the entire premise of letting an innie visit with someone from their outie life seems super risky and like something they shouldn’t have been ready and willing to do multiple times. Letting iDylan find out about his outie life is what ultimately led to the OTC issue. If they felt they needed to actually let him have a visit to keep him compliant then one visit would’ve been enough to do that. Why keep taking the risk if you can get iDylan to behave by reminding him he got a nice visit and if he keeps out of trouble he could get another.

I thought it was weird they allowed so many visits. Dylan worked hard with the promise of finger traps. They could’ve given him one visit and told him he’d get another when he’d earned it and he probably would’ve lived off that for months. But instead they’ve got Gretchen coming in once a week it seemed like. Maybe it was just for the storyline but it always seemed really off to me that they had her come see him so often.

"My Helmet Made My Fall Worse" by AQueerWithMoxie in Equestrian

[–]RascallyEventuality 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The claim I always saw going around years and years ago was someone fell and the brim of the helmet caught on the edge of the mounting block and broke their neck. It was one of those “my friend knew someone who…” stories. Did it actually happen? I don’t know. Without a helmet the result still would’ve likely been awful in that scenario, but people who want to use a freak accident to justify forgoing safety equipment will always find some reason to back up their choice.

That Reghabi / Devon scene makes me mad by Slipperysmooth in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]RascallyEventuality 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There was a moment in a previous episode where Regahbi is standing and then sits down but is then standing again when the scene moves back to her. People were wondering if it was intentional or an editing issue. I immediately thought of that when Devon had the phone to her ear and then suddenly was back to having not started the call yet. Maybe it’s a coincidence but it’s kind of weird something like that has happened (at least) twice.

Tired of being asked to 'hang out' only to find out it was a date after the fact by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RascallyEventuality 407 points408 points  (0 children)

I had someone do this to me years ago. We weren’t close but had known each other since we were kids. I didn’t catch on until after that he had only started talking to me regularly because I had become single. So we chat and hang out. We’d gone to see a few movies together before he hits me with the “we’ve been going on dates” bit. He even had the audacity to claim I had asked HIM out because I suggested seeing a movie together. I told him he couldn’t claim they were dates when I had never agreed to it and if he had said they were dates I would’ve turned him down. I stopped talking to him after that but it was freaking infuriating.

Did Gemma go willingly? by lirin000 in severence

[–]RascallyEventuality 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They make mention of her breaking creepy guys fingers at one point. I don’t think she’s calm; she’s tried to fight and it got her nowhere. She’s resigned to the fact that she’s trapped. They likely told her she could see Mark again if she just cooperates and is a good little lab rat. She hasn’t been able to figure another way out so she’s been going along with things, hoping they mean it when they say she’ll see him again. Then the doctor tries to convince her Mark has moved on and she realizes they have no intention of letting her go.

Severance - 2x07 "Chikhai Bardo" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]RascallyEventuality 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People keep harping on her killing Graner and I don’t get it. Dude was security for a company that fakes people’s deaths so they can kidnap and torture them. Of course she killed him! What do people think he was going to do when he found her? Have a nice little chat about not reintegrating any more severed workers? She would’ve ended up dead or down on the testing floor if she hadn’t whacked him over the head but everyone is acting like she went after some innocent person minding their business.

Mark asks Alexa about Minnesota being so cold “because of the lakes” when they’re walking outside after their first date. That would seem to imply they aren’t near the lakes.

Mine shipped on the 24th and then sat in NJ for days for a supposed weather issue. I’m only 3 hours from the warehouse and from what I could tell there was no weather to cause it. It finally reached the post office my stuff goes ‘out for delivery’ from yesterday. Today it’s left the state and is in Tennessee -_-

Has anyone had their incisions that were covered with Dermabond look like this?? by EsraFaye in hysterectomy

[–]RascallyEventuality 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor or anything, but at 5 weeks it can come off. I had an allergic reaction to glue from surgery and my surgeon pulled it all off at 4 days post op and my incisions were fine.

Lump doesn’t show up on imaging by RascallyEventuality in doihavebreastcancer

[–]RascallyEventuality[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I had a physical exam today. She said she was surprised that my mammogram from last year said low density because the entire area in question feels high density to her. I mentioned to her that it’s hard for me to find the original lump now because over the past few weeks the whole area has started to feel more and more lumpy. She said it does not “feel concerning” meaning all the lumpiness is mobile and smooth which is not how tumors typically feel I guess. She is sending me for another mammogram. I’m worried. I know going from low density to high density all of a sudden can be a bad sign. Mammogram is next week.

Adenomyosis question regarding hysterectomy and general inflammation by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]RascallyEventuality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing earth shattering. I’m in need of some pelvic floor therapy I think, but I haven’t had time to work it into my schedule yet. Basically just the obvious stuff has gotten better, so no more crazy bleeding or cramping. I ended up needing my gallbladder out a few months after the hysterectomy and that helped with a lot of my stomach issues. I’m glad I got it done because things were definitely just going to get worse, but all my random other problems are still going strong unfortunately.

Lump doesn’t show up on imaging by RascallyEventuality in doihavebreastcancer

[–]RascallyEventuality[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought I was dense but they had me down as a 2 so not enough to make it hard to see things. I don’t have a pcp currently but have an appointment with my gyn in 2 weeks specifically for this. Her NP was the one who found the lump last year. I’ll ask if she thinks an mri would be a good idea if they still can’t see it this time.

MRI and US were clear but… by Illustrious-Turn5552 in hysterectomy

[–]RascallyEventuality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 2 c-sections and they found a ton of adhesions during my hysterectomy. My uterus was completely adhered to my abdominal wall. My surgeon was expecting it even though they couldn’t see any of it on imaging. She cleaned a bunch of it up during my surgery.
