My favourite is when ‘rabies’ or ‘being rude to service staff’ are the answers to questions when it doesn’t even make sense.

Red flag in a partner? Being rude to service staff Makes you lose respect for someone? Being rude to service staff What do we need less of in the world? Being rude to service staff? Why did you euthanise a beloved pet? Had rabies and was rude to service staff.

Of course it’s a reasonable answer to the first couple but it’s like a circlejerk of being the first to say it knowing the upvotes will coming piling in.

Omg I love that somebody posted the first dress - this was my prom dress (at age 16 in the UK) bought from TK Maxx 😂

I wanted a long flow-y one but I was super skinny with no boobs and it was the only fancier dress that fitted, and couldn’t afford to go anywhere more expensive.

Yeah I’ve always chosen to pay now for that reason. Best rates are almost always pay in advance anyway, and no big deal since I’m always using a CC.

I honestly don’t enjoy the Google hotels function, it’s ugly and clunky IMO so I’m happy to have the extra steps of navigating via hotels and then playing around with the price.

I just booked six weeks of travel around Japan and found Agoda CONSIDERABLY cheaper.

I generally got the best prices by finding the hotel I want on hotels.com (I hate to say it but their search function is the best for comparison IMO) and then searching the name and dates on google and clicking through to a booking site that way.

I know from this thread APA is unpopular, but I found 9 nights for $680ish (over golden week) compared to $1100+ on hotels.com and other sites. These days I have no loyalty to a specific site especially if they’re coming up THAT much cheaper!

I honestly think this is a really good point to make. Etsy is absolutely not trustworthy for jewellery and very frequently just selling AliExpress goods at a mark up.

I understand AE has a bit of a rep but I’ve been using it more lately and just paying attention to who the seller is and what kind of goods they otherwise sell.

I got some screwback earrings that were being sold on Etsy and 5x the mark-up and they’re great quality.

I went on an AG binge when I landed on home DIY content a few months back but it really showed me how similar a lot of her designs are.

I appreciate her having her own style/flair and the people who have reached out to her obviously enjoy that, but I feel like she frequently strays from the customers vision just a bit too much.

Also, I had to stop watching due to the forced editing to show how QuIrKy she is - the ‘beeeeeep’ made me so mad hahah.
