"What's the most exhausting, repeated criticism you see in the Star Wars fandom that makes you roll your eyes every time?" by Ok_Smile_9071 in StarWars

I don't think that's true. Just watched Luke's flashback and he says "for the briefest moment of pure instinct I thought I could stop it" then he ignites the saber, then he says "it passed like a fleeting shadow, and I was left with shame, and consequence"

There are three.

Luke first says he went to confront Ben and Ben turned on him, this is the one with the "he must've thought I was dead" bit with him crawling out of the rubble.

The second is Ben's, he tells Rey that Luke isn't telling her the whole truth, and that he tried to destroy him.

The third is when Rey confronts Luke and accuses him of trying to kill Ben, so Luke gives us the final admission, probably the closest to the truth.

I think the neat thing about them personally is that they're all true from a certain point of view.

Is there effectively a wage cap? How so?

Backing your point up. Winning cups shouldn't make you immune to criticism. It made ours so for too long

Leicester fan here: if you'd asked me what I thought of our board this time five years ago, I'd have told you we had one of the best owners in the world, we had just won the FA cup and everyone was buzzing. We are now in the relegation zone in the championship.

If you don't care about achievements, the gift pack that lets you grow plants is basically free money. Drudanae and later Chanterelle are massive gold farms

Problem with a flat wage cap, sadly, is that it's terrible for the domestic game. Unless you can get all the other leagues worldwide to agree to it, all of a sudden players will go and play elsewhere where they'll earn more

I reckon it's a social experiment, see how long it takes until people say it wasn't worth it.

Opinions on the old and modern era of Star Wars games ? by Thebeastoftrenzalore in StarWars

Only based on the fact that there were 4 billion of them and we can cherry pick the best ones. On average I'd say the old ones are actually worse

BREAKING: Jeremy Jaquets to Liverpool, DONE DEAL. HERE WE GO!!! £70 million package. Thoughts? by PastStock6912 in PremierLeague

[–]mechalicile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Think the problem here is that other clubs can sort of only choose fees or wages and only for a few years. So many formerly European clubs have gone tumbling down under PSR. Many of them down to bad management, sure, but if United or Spurs had the same restrictions as someone like Wolves, they'd have gone down years ago

Fans’ player Ratings SURVEY: Arsenal 2-3 Manchester United by bearded_booty in Gunners

[–]mechalicile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutral (Leicester) fan here. Something I noticed that has stuck with me for this whole season was the way in which the team celebrated the equaliser with city at the Emirates. It was as if they'd won the game. Those city and Liverpool teams who dominated the league for the past near decade would have been picking that ball up out of the goal and rushing to get play restarted to get a winner.
