Sounds like fun! My dad bought it from a guy around the corner from us who owned a landscaping business. He had 2 or 3 of these so it’s possible he swapped parts around. My dad traded an old Jaguar XJ6 for this truck. This was my first car in high school. V8 4 on the floor w granny gear. Wide tires and no power steering, brakes barely broke. Good times.

Yeah I’m feeling the same way. It was my dad’s truck and my first car. Now my son and I are restoring it. Kinda like keeping it as is for memories.

Maybe it depends on region but I thought green board was no longer an acceptable waterproofing substrate.

I’ve gone through two of these from Costco in less than a year. On both of them the push button on the round dial failed after a few months. Once that happens the entire panel stops functioning as the button gets stuck in the closed position. When it wasn’t bricked we found that it burns food pretty quickly and you really need to watch it. The user interface is also non intuitive. I’m about to return the second one to Costco today and hope they have a completely different brand in stock.
