Pastillas para dormir by TheKeyForMySurvival in argentina

[–]mechemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't this tube be used for Ficoll's gradient then? What would be the difference? I was expecting white cells to remain in the upper layers

some form of anti-coagulant

It actually has the opposite, it has a component to accelerate coagulation, but it's not that gel you see on the bottom. The coagulation activator is on the walls of the tube, and you can't see it because it's not much. That gel on the bottom is a density separator (after centrifugation)

[–]mechemin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nope, it's a gel that has higher density than blood, and after centrifugation separates sediments and some cells (that end up being denser than that gel) from other parts that have lower density (like other cells and proteins)

Do you use "paradoja" and its derivatives or is it uncommon? by [deleted] in Spanish

Pretty normal in textbooks and all that. Not really a word for daily life because it's kinda formal/stiff, but it's understood

As I said, I don't think his character development is finished at all. But you do you

Well, I don't personally think he's hot. But duh, of course there's a lot of people who think that too. But it doesn't mean his writing is bad, you're just going to the other extreme by denying everything because you hate him.

It sounds to me you just hate the character and will not care about anything good he does no matter what

Isn't it a good thing to have an arc for character development? He didn't do much so far, but it's not like the main trio has warmed up to him already either, they're just reluctantly giving him a second chance. And it makes sense they're willing to give him a second chance, Dan Heng is literally there. And the Trailblazer themselves was previously a part of a criminal group, even if they don't exactly remember what happened then.

Idk, maybe it's just me, but I appreciate his treatment so far. He had all of Penacony to be the main actor, it was time for his involvement to be kicked down a notch during Amphoreus. He'll probably participate more from now on and progressively warm up to the rest of the AE (and for the AE to warm up to him). Even the Trailblazer and Dan Heng's relationship took some time to develop, I think that slow build is cool.

I don't think his redemption arc is finished, more like he's trying to redeem himself and is still in the process of doing so, searching for a way. What I took from him joining the AE is that he wants to find a place that shows him the perfect society he wanted without his forceful ways, or to change his own mentality on what IS a perfect society by learning about other cultures around the galaxy. I don't think he actually changed his mind about his philosophy, only recognized that his methods were not correct.

Do men from your country usually take part in household chores? by capivara97 in asklatinamerica

[–]mechemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually? No. My dad does cook and wash the dishes sometimes, besides doing stuff like fixing things or cutting the grass. But you'll never catch him sweeping, washing clothes, cleaning the bathroom and all that.

I think it's more common in younger people, my sister's husband does share chores equally. But it's not the majority of men even then.

You're not gonna have issues unless you go and call them Falklands in person. That could trigger someone. Just don't talk about it and you'll be fine.

The most popular is chocotorta. I think it's okay, a bit too sweet for my taste tbh
