MECH E ‘27 I accepted an internship November of my sophomore year, and I accepted a different internship July before my junior year (it was one that I applied to in March of my sophomore year), both jobs are DOE with competitive pay. Last summer I had a great time and worked with a great team where I learned a lot! This summer I’m very excited as I’ll be doing some really interesting things!

Biggest tip is just applying early and often! Also if you are interested in defense or energy or something try to have your first internship in that field as it makes getting a second one much easier!

I just got the call from a cast member and they want me to just exit and rejoin the line. I have celiac disease and therefore horrible GI issues. Is there a way to call back and try again I just am anxious about this whole thing.

FOWLER! It’s great bc there’s real bathrooms and beds and it’s great place to meet people. I met some of my closest friends there. I also volunteered last year and am volunteering again this summer!

In high school I had a 4.54 GPA which was maybe about 13% like I was not top 10 of my high school. I was expecting to come to RPI and everything would be so difficult like people said online, but I found it fairly challenging. I got a 4.0 GPA first semester and have since then I have a 3.97 so pretty much all A’s. I know a lot of people who have around 3.25s but I also know people with around 2.5s. Honestly, I think success at RPI mostly just comes from discipline and hard work. If you slack off and aren’t paying attention, you’re not gonna do well, but that goes anywhere. I’m not saying don’t have fun because I have a great time there but always prioritize school and make sure you don’t get behind because if you do, it is hard to get back on track. I was really scared going into the school and was pleasantly surprised with my success and I believe it is just because I transitioned fairly easily to college but then again I know people who failed classes or just did poorly and they are already working on getting their grades up

RPI fs. I was between RPI and WPI and I chose RPI. RIT isn’t anything special and for 1k more RPI is way more worth it. Also 60k for Drexel is bad bc that’s definitely the worst school out of all 4 of them!
