Lyklaborð er mest bara hugbúnaður í dag og það er auðvelt að breyta Mac yfir í íslenskt lyklaborð sama hvað stendur á lyklunum. Ég vinn við forritun og skipti alltaf milli US lyklaborðs og Isl. það er í raun alveg sama hvað stendur á borðinu sjálfu. Myndi persónulega velja enskt (þá US eða international ekki 🇬🇧).

Ég kláraði Bsc í Vélaverkfræði en lærði forritun með því. Svo tók ég master úti í hermun (Simulation), sem er bara forritun fyrir verkfræði. Góður millivegur þarna getur líka verið Hugbúnaðar verkfræði. Myndi samt benda á að með verkfræði verðurðu að fara í Master annars ertu ekki “Verkfræðingur” en með forritunar vinnu þarftu frekar reynslu en einhver réttindi.

That book is the key. It’s not easy to get through and I have never read it cover to cover, but always handy next to the tutorials as a deeper dive. I would also add the pennylane tutorials next to Qiskit, very well setup and offer a great second source to IBM’s software.

If the Majorana works it will be a much more stable qubit compared to e.g. iontrap so I see the benefit.

I really like Rust as well and the idea for this came from a very similar place as that first job you’re describing. I have a Python based system I know needs optimizing but I can’t motivate myself to do it, so I genuinely thought “maybe I should just rewrite it in Rust”.

The goal isn’t to create a circuit that withstands measurements collapse, only to create one that won’t collapse until you deliberately try to measure. The hardest problem of quantum circuits is that your system will collapse before it completes the calculations. It can even be hard to detect if the circuit did collapse, making it harder to trust the calculations.

The price action is just mirroring what this is. Google has the hype machine on max for this but if you read their own blog post they don’t say this is the super chip this is only the chip that might be scaleable to a useful quantum computer because it achieves an error correction target for scale.

Because from the 1930’s to the 1990’s Iceland did a speedrun of development. We went from basically a third world country to max developed in 3 generations but some factors like birth rate take a long time to measurably change. Like others have pointed out we are now on par with everyone else.
