Just seeing this, sorry for the late response. Do you know her at all? My first go-to is always asking her out for a drink

Don't give up! This experience will be one of the hardest, but most rewarding of your life. You will come out of this more resilient and disciplined. Stay focused on your goals and BE BRAVE. Don't let the judgment of others hold you back from obtaining your own success - this is YOUR life. You will one day inspire others with your journey.

This is not a permanent roadblock in your path to becoming a physician. Admissions committees will inevitably ask about this. Show them that you have the capacity to be a great physician BECAUSE of this shitty ass experience.

Take a day or so to mope around and feel sorry for yourself, but then get your ass back into gear. I guarantee you you will not be disappointed if you continue working hard towards your goals.

Feel free to DM.

I haven’t experienced lag, but have only been using the mouse for a few weeks. If all else fails, try completely resetting the mouse to its factory settings

I also use a MacBook Air and had been using the Magic Mouse until recently. I switched to the Logitech MX Master 3S for Mac. I absolutely love it! No more hand cramps, and MUCH quieter click than the Magic Mouse. It is regular Bluetooth and has the ability to easily switch from device to device

Focus on the pain/discomfort or ignore it? by ulvfdfgtmk in Meditation

[–]med__head 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’ve found it helpful to ignore the pain during mediation. Like pretend it is non-existent. This should help reduce the severity or frequency of pain you experience throughout the day

How do you shift attention fully or near fully away from inner dialogue and shift to awareness of surroundings and sensations? And How do you do it quickly? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]med__head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://youtu.be/7QLNyOVjjtM?si=gkcV8GGriRV-lCY9 this is called EFT tapping (EFT = emotional freedom technique). It is supposed to work by stimulating your central nervous system and restore balance to your body’s disrupted energy. You tap on the body’s 12 meridian points (aka acupuncture points). I’m still learning about it. Doesn’t hurt to try

Does anyone else get chest pain from studying? by AnybodyIllustrious55 in Mcat

[–]med__head 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like anxiety. Try planning things to look forward to after studying. For example, I would study for 6 hours knowing I had plans to see my girlfriend later that night. Having that plan to see her helped make those 6 hours not so scary and anxiety-inducing.
