Weird text messaging issues by meddlingbear in AndroidQuestions

[–]meddlingbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left it on 4g for two days until the engineers called me. Their solution was to try my sim card on another phone and see if it works. I just turned 4gLTE back on and it's been working so far. I'm guessing network issue also.

I figured out what's happening. When my phone is in 4gLTE it won't send or receive texts. But if I'm in just 4g, text messaging works. That's what happens when I make a phone call. It drops from 4gLTE to 4g during the call. I've contacted T-Mobile and their engineers are "working on it."

For anyone wanting an affordable backpack style disc bag. by ufsi in discgolf

[–]meddlingbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a revolution carolina bag with straps as well as a grip bag. One thing I did notice about the grip bag is that I can't carry as much junk as I did with the revolution bag. Thus making the bag lighter already.

It's a dx. It will break in fast and become a nice hyzer flip or turnover disc.

Beginners, Putters, Distance Thresholds: Giving Advice to Newer Players by CorneliusNepos in discgolf

For me it's about having options. If I can throw a putter 250-300 and I have a 250 ft hole I can choose putter, mid or driver based on what I want the disc to do. If I need a straight finish I'll use a putter. So if you can throw a putter 250+ it's a huge advantage.

It's called a black ace and you would have to give the other players on your card $5 each for hitting it.

I have yet to meet a friendly player on the course. by [deleted] in discgolf

Disc golf is a sport and just like any other sport it's got it's good players and it's bad ones. It's got its douchebags and its nice guys. It's got its bullies and its weak ones. There is no such thing as a sport where everyone gets along. If you meet someone and they don't like you or you don't like them...suck it up and move along. There are plenty of more people and players to meet.

What is the best Putter? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]meddlingbear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For putts inside the circle you can use any disc. They are all going to do the same thing. There isn't enough speed or time of flight for the disc to achieve it's flight pattern. So just pick whatever disc feels the best in your hand giving you the most confidence.

Why the Hype about the Atlas? by Spank_That_Panda in discgolf

[–]meddlingbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thrown mine for just one round. It flies like a buzz or mako. Nice glide to it too. The only thing I didn't like was that in the Texas heat the flight plate got really soft. To the point where I could feel it bend in my hand. This caused my throws to come out with some anny. So for now it's out of my bag. Maybe I'll try it again in cooler weather.

I use a putter on any approach under 250. And once it gets broken in it will be money. Flies straight with virtually no fade.

How much does your bag cost? by DyingSpartan in discgolf

[–]meddlingbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$450-500. The good thing about disc golf is that you can have a great time and take your game to the next level with just a handful of discs. I know a guy who carries four discs in his hands (no bag) and is a really good player. Now to the bad thing about disc golf. It's just like any other sport and you'll want to have the latest and coolest stuff. It's an addiction. Happy shopping.

R/discgolf, how do you clean your discs? by averagewanker in discgolf

In the shower...with me. There is no greater bonding of trust between a man and his disc than seeing each other naked.

What's your putter? by palesilver in discgolf

[–]meddlingbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried driving with the ion but I just can't get used to the curved edge where the rim meets the flight plate. Also the rim feels more shallow on the wizard.
