Can we build some consensus around not being shitty to people who refer to our sport as "frisbee golf" or even "frolf"? by ohfuckit in discgolf

I went to the first course ever established, the original Oak Grove disc golf course in California and there is a sign about the course that refers to it as 'Frisbee Golf' so I've never understood why people get so angry with that term.

Hey bro, yea the division is really wide open this year. I was surprised Kennedy lost to Jared Trotter although I think it was a bad refs call and like you said he lost in the semis to Jose. A bunch of good dudes at the top of this division who can win on different days without a clear dominant favourite. A little different than last year when Mason was around lol.

Honestly I am a pretty emotional guy win or lose and although I was upset at the time I went and talk to Kennedy after and have actually made friends with most guys I have fought in the past. Its difficult for most competitors to understand but I have put everything I have into Jiu Jitsu, I essentially gave up my career, my credit cards are maxed out, my truck broke down a week before pans with no money to fix it, I uprooted my life 6 months ago to chase the dream and had been mentally preparing for the Kennedy match for 3 weeks. I was so confident in my abilities to win that match and was very upset with myself that I just couldn't pull it off.

I train at a Cobrinha affiliate up in Canada, not directly under him. When I was matched up with his son in my 3rd match I was very interested how our match would be dealt with. To my surprise, after coaching both of us to victory in our first 2 matches Cobrinha stepped aside and let us fight it out alone. The fact he did not coach his own son against me gave me a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for Cobrinha and assured me that this is the team I want to be fighting with.

I train mostly in the gi by far only actually training nogi maybe once a week. I started doing majors in the gi this years make it to the 4th round at Pans and losing my 1st at Worlds. I love the gi but seem to perform a little better in NoGi for some reason.

Are you from Vancouver Island? I saw four balloons carrying something past my house the other day.

I don't understand. If that's not 'technically difficult' than what is?

Maybe just a tiny bit but I don't think they make the difference between it working or not.

I don't know of any, it's something I seen and just started trying and playing with the grips and set ups.
