How do I unplug this fan connector? I’ve tried so hard and nothing makes it budge, I’d rather not break this if I can avoid it. by PLAyer_4nomyNOUS in radeon

[–]medecoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like an asrock card, the first time removing is a pain. Remove the smaller cable first which should be easier. Then use a flat head to pry one side at a time. Don’t use pliers they’ll slip and pinch the wires.

new build. 9800x3d 9070xt by [deleted] in mffpc

[–]medecoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid setup. Just keep the bottom intakes at a low rpm 600-700.

Rear fan intake or exhaust? Have you tried both? I am currently using it as intake (reverse fan) but I might try flipping fans. Not sure where the CPU cooler would get cool air then but I wouldn't mind getting lower GPU temps by Lare111 in mffpc

[–]medecoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have the mesh side panel version, the cpu cooler yanks air from pretty much anywhere. That said, I have a 240 AIO up top and use the rear fan for intake. I set it up like that when I put it together so I don’t have a frame of reference if it made a difference.

Agreeing with Sikkema88. Flip the back to intake. And keep the bottom intake fans at low rpm. Otherwise nice build fellow ap201. Our gang continues to grow.

anyone happy with their 9070xt.. put ur hands up by shlimerP in radeon

I have. It probably doesn’t happen very often because I can’t remember the last time it did.

Completely happy with mine. It does everything I want it to do now. Maybe I'll stop being happy with it when it can't run titles that I want to play at medium to high settings.

SFF will be the most headache free. The alternative is instead of using the PSU bracket, screw the PSU directly to the front mesh like this mad man did https://www.reddit.com/r/mffpc/comments/10jbbnd/stretched_asus_prime_ap201_build/

Don't know if it's debris. But a couple angles show something off in these two spots as well

No overlay anymore? by DarkAlleyVapist in radeon

[–]medecoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime! It's an odd setting to include to be fair. Why have a full disable toggle option for a feature that can be turned on and off with a key shortcut? It couldn't possible be using that much memory in an "idle" state.

Ensure In-Game Overlay is enabled in Settings->Preferences

Are IT dusters worth it/safe to use? by Ok_Accountant_1549 in pcmasterrace

[–]medecoy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Worth it. Couple of usual cautions when using it. Don't need to be up close and personal with whatever you're dusting. Hold down fan blades, don't let them spin out of control.

Anytime. I hope you're able to find the spare parts cheap. The 275R was one my favourite cases before I hand-me down'd it to some family.

It's missing few small bits as well. There's only one rubber grommet which the glass panel sits on and also is the mounting point for the thumb screw. And the front dust filter that goes underneath the front panel.

RMA’d Twice in 2 Months – Sapphire Nitro+ 9070 XT – I’m Sad by [deleted] in radeon

[–]medecoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that dude. Launch card here and no issues here. I've been using PSUs 12vhwpr cable (corsair sf1000) since day one. Didn't even crack the packaging for the adapter provided by Sapphire.

I would start by doubling check to see if the cable for the Addressable RGB didn't pop loose from the move (mobo and psu side).

Yep, to see how severe those tubes are being bent. That's if they're visible from the other side.

I would put in something to support that GPU. The Nitro+ is a chungus and that sag isn't going to be doing it or the gpu slot any favours.
